Hi all.

Just wanted to present myself and say hello, but please bare with me cause my English is quite horrible so both spelling (spell check help out here) and grammar might be nonsense to some of you. I´m sorry about that will do my very best, I also misunderstand quite a bit when reading English as well but like I said I will do my very best please be patient.

Don´t want to say too much about myself or where I´m from though cause of the imho silly which hunt going on in regards to this substance (DMT), like so many others I came across this site/forum after trying to research DMT extraction. A guy in my country even got charged for lots of DMT and dragged to court, it was MHRB, yes just the powder and "news" papers reported on it like this person had a huge amount of drugs (DMT) and that was that even though he finally got cleared, that and more is why I say silly which hunt on it here.
Have for years now had this dream about going to Amazonas and do some Ayahuasca sessions after seeing what it have done for others, yes I have a very broken background and gone through a lot but also many many questions about life and all these big philosophical question regarding life itself, who are we, what are we doing here etc.. etc..


With that being said I´m poor, really poor by western standards at very least and have not been able so save anything for a few years now so the trip I want to make seam more and more distant at this point. Perhaps an extraction is the closest thing I can possibly come?
Even so would still have to watch costs carefully for ingredients, have read/watched guides over and over and have no real experience with chemistry so that in combination with the bad English complicates things a lot. Found a youtube video that made me understand the steps a better though, it´s gone now but saved to a friends local machine thankfully.

So I have gone through the process and finally think I get the hang of it and from what understand so far the A/B Tek seam to be the way to go for me, the only thing I´m still a bit confused over is the solvent? Lighter fluid is expensive here but I have found something 10 times cheaper called: Aliphatic Naphtha, says on the bottle: distilled, light, petroleum, hydrotreated (although my translation might not be perfect though)?

Is it worth trying that one or should I skip and go for the more expensive lighter fluid?
Can even get a hold of Zippo here but that one is twice the cost of the one I found called: Atomic (lighter fluid). Have tried the trick of spilling out a smaller amount on a plate and look closely if it evaporate clean and it did, the bottle is quite old though but that might just be a good thing?

I feel sure I followed and respected all the rules here but just in case I missed something, anything please feel to correct me.

To your question about naphtha : if its light naphtha and evaporates clean you are good to go.

Remember safety first and know exactly what you are doing. Do not rush anything.

Thank you for response smokerx really appreciate that, yes it seams to me as this is the place for this indeed.

Absolutely I will take your advice and not rush it, seams like some solid advice.

Will read again and again + take all the steps of precaution before I do anything, will not rush into anything and get in over my head.

Will most definitely read up on this some more as well as do the evaporation test with the Naphtha as well.

As above as long as it is light naphtha and it evaps clean it should be fine. If you are planning on using MHRB and this is your first extraction I would definitely recommend doing an STB tek, or straight-to-base. Very easy and good yields. Try this Tek, it's a really good pictorial written up by Gir. I followed it on my first time and it worked great, I just used a sealable glass jar instead of milk bottle. It's pretty much Nomans tek. Anyway good luck and do lots of research and you will do great:thumb_up:

Thanks you very much TwennyBux, so happy to see you guys taking your time to answer so fast and help a noob out.

MHRB as well as ACRB is on it´s way, so is a very small bottle of distilled White Vinegar 5%. The bark is from different suppliers (@ quality test)
Have access to Acetic acid + guide on bottle to dilute it to all the way down to 6% if an alternative to White Vinegar I mean, sites in my country claim it´s the same stuff only stronger and less diluted so need to dilute to get correct % but I cannot confirm that it´s indeed the same really?

Caustic Soda, Salt (without Iodine), purified water (RO @ 3-4ppm) is already available so will most definitely have a look at the STB tek thank you for link to what worked for you, gives this guy more hope for sure. Regarding the solvent have only the lighter fluid at the moment but access to the light Naphtha should be no problem just need to buy and do the evaporation test. Although this particular Naphtha called: Aliphatic Naphtha (says distilled solvent Naphtha petroleum light hydrocarbon on bottle) is only available in one place I realized yesterday from what I know and they only have 3 containers left, each is 5 liters, other then that it seams all sellers here abandon that type and switching over to less dangerous substances or so they say anyways. Checked up on VM-P Naphtha and saw a lot of similarities if not even exact same numbers/info like toxicity, exposure, density and so on even CAS number have the same first 5 numbers 64742 but whether that mean anything or nothing at all is beyond my understanding that I absolutely do admit, although apart from actually buying a can and doing the evaporation test it truly seam to me as if it is the same thing as VM-P just different brand. D-Limonene and other products like it have to be imported and that´s very expensive.

The freezer is the main concern atm cause it´s very small and actually just a pocket inside the fridge, thermometer says -20C (-4F) but have a few notches left on the dial/settings so think maybe possible to reach -25C (-13F) with a bit of luck.

With that being said I´m uncertain I should even use the term I/me when writing on here, especially if I speak for someone else if you know what I mean? Seen people write swim in other places is that the correct term perhaps, a search online game me: someone who isn't me, which seam to be correct according to my logic. What do you think guys, is swim the better way to go at it when not claiming to speak for one self in all comment sections on here?

Also want to say I´m sorry for the long texts guys, taking more of your time then I should but somehow feels like it´s hard to make it short and still express myself properly in this language. Again thank you for being kind and having patience, you guys are awesome.

no need to use swim and your freezer is good do not worry. mine is set to -18 and all the goodies precipitated there in few hours. look at my thread I made recently this tek is very easy and without using lye.

Thanks you smokerx, will absolutely have a look at the thread and find it very interesting to see several different Tek´s and variations of those Tek´s.

Peoples imagination is a beautiful thing for sure and just reading about it and seeing the results is great, for obvious reasons I´m not allowed to post there from what I understand but looking forward to the reading as well as to educate myself more.

First pull from 60g MHRB so far using A/B resulted in 0.42g will have a look at pull 2 + 3 soon.

Not sure yet endlessness?

Taking it slow and try to avoid rushing it I suppose, gonna do it with a very good friend first time around that have the right mindset and all that but that friend is recovering form an injury so at least a few days away minimum. I have read about many failing first time around or at very least that it´s supposed to be a bit tricky getting a grip of it, reading about it on here and will most likely try to build something like the machine/mini machine but nothing is written in stone quite yet I suppose and open to suggestions?

Did 4 pulls from that 60g MHRB which resulted in 0.72 overall, very first time + no knowledge about the source at all so yeah I´m happy with that and will move on to try out ACRB.

So tried the ACRB as well, with horrible results my I add.

Must have messed up horribly somehow, perhaps shaken the bottle to much cause solvent was foggy and did not clear up no matter what I did. Tried freeze precipitate anyway but lot´s of crap in there and 1h under the fan while still not dry?

Anyways just wanted to let you guys know.

EDIT:

I think I found out what´s wrong?

Tried to poor more Naphtha on a plate to look for residue, must have used to small amount last time cause this time it took a long time for it to disappear and it did indeed leave some oily/fatty residue on the plate not at all like the last Naphtha I used for MHRB.

Well, now I wonder if I should discard the oily end product or if try to recover it, perhaps by soaking it into "real" Naphtha?

sounds like perhaps you created an emulsion? new to all this and this forum myself but you want to mix it gently, end over end nice and slow. solvent evaporating slowly could be ambient temp differences perhaps? my first though was that it had absorbed moisture but its non polar so I'm not sure. practically everyone on here will know more than me so hold tight :d

edit- is the oily residue active? acrb can give quite different results from mhrb which is why some of the teks are geared towards one or the other.

Yeah could be, I did stir gently first time around (MHRB) and results were graet or so I think anyway, perhaps I could clean it up somehow?

Will read more and look into it for sure, the ACRB and second go at MHRB both were shaken properly so maybe I did wrong there then, hmm you learn all the time I guess.
