The sticky stuff left near the dmt crystals after removal from the freezer.

dmt is produced using light naphtha by the stb method. It leaves a sticky residue, especially if there were few dmt crystals after taking it out of the freezer. And smoking this made me feel sick. Is there any way to get rid of this? I would sincerely appreciate if you could advise me.

The sticky substance could be due to fats or residues of naphtha that did not evaporate in time. Defatting, recrystallization, testing for residual naphtha, and allowing more time for naphtha to evaporate before using the crystals may be helpful for you.

If you vaporise using an electronic device (eg emesh) you should find that the dmt vaporises first leaving the sticky residue in the mesh. It will eventually smoke and burn if you keep applying heat.

If you mix the dmt with pg to make vape juice you can filter most of the wax with a syringe filter.

If you redissolve the dmt and goo in minimal solvent you should find the goo does not dissolve easily and so can be left behind by decanting carefully. Then crystallise or precipitate.

It is my belief that the goo is waxy stuff from the plant bark, not in the naptha.
