third pull - crystals different color

Hi all.

SWIM is doing q21q21 tek, using Naphta.
first pull - white crystals. [done 10 hours after mixing with calcium hydroxide]
secon pull - white. [done 3 days after first pull]
Thrid one - pale pale orange. [done 10 days after second pull]

SWIM thought that if using naphta as a solvent, only white crystals are being produced, but looks like not. He is afraid of mistakes as it is first time extraction. why he's getting different color? is it so called Jimjam spice or impurities?

Likely plant fats that can be extracted if the naptha sits in the bark mixture for an extended time. Nothing to worry about, this can be cleaned up in a process commonly referred to as a 're-x' (short for recrystalization).

Dissolve the orange stuff in a minimal amount of hot naptha (heated using a warm water bath, NOT the stove; naptha is very dangerously flammable). A shot glass works well for this.


Once the product has dissolved, the orange plant oils should sink to the bottom of the container. Pour off the naptha and leave the goo behind. Then, freeze-precipitate the naptha as you did before. The resulting product should be relatively clean.

mimosa contains nmt, an orange psychedelic substance. if your plant material is clean and you extracted well with safe substances, your "goo" will be safe and very potent. dissolve it in acetone and leave any undisolved sediment behind, collect the waxy substance and give it a smell. it should have a slightly sweet floral, deemy aroma and have a waxy texture. a good starting dose is about twice your dmt dose by weight.

ok, so SWIM has two ideas what could it be.
he does not mind if it's nmt, but if it is plant fats, he would like to get rid of it. How SWIM can find out which possibility of those two it is? and does smoking spice with plant fats has any negative properties?

I actually prefer my slightly yellow spice over my white fluffy in a bulb type vaporizer. Although now I have switched to the GVG I havent tried the white stuff yet.

The off color is of no concern and is just plant oils, as long as you didnt mess up. With the q21q21 tek this is common for pulls after the first and second.

My first two pulls were fluffy white. pulls 3 and 4 were ever so slightly yellowish. Pulls 5 and 6 were the more yellow than 3 and 4, and so on.

I get a brownish/orangish waxy DMT as well with later pulls and that stuff works just fine as well. If your worried about it just re-x it and you will have the fluffy white funfest.

you can smoke straight mhrb without so much as a throatache, the oils won't hurt you unless they contain contaminants that you put in there. remember, people drink strong brews of this plant matter, consuming far more of the oils, fibres and other chemicals in the plant than you wouldby smoking many doses of your disolored spice. i know of many people who prefer darker spice, and have never heard of anyone experiencing negative effects simply because their spice was oily.
it also makes it easier to smoke... the oils somehow stabilize the dmt and help produce vapor, meaning cleaner, gentler hits and a smoother ride with little burning. ihave helped others to their first breakthrough experiences with it, as it simply washes away the urge to fight and control the onset, and tends to provide a more reassuring and nurturing experience and a comfortable body load that lends to a calm and relaxed come-down.
