Time for freeze precip

SWIM has come to the point where his 3 pulls will go into the freezer. All the naptha is in a large flat pyrex dish so scraping with a razor is relatively easy. Now, from what I've read, alot of people evap some naptha. How much should SWIM evap? Until the solution is cloudy?

Also, what color should the naptha solution be that I did the pulls with? Because mine is still clear.

well the things is, I don't think my freezer gets THAT cold. It gets cold though. So I wanta evap some, then put the dish with the lid on in a box sandwiched between two layers of ice, and then stick that in my freezer. I think having the dish sandwiched between two layers of ice will get it cold enough. What do you guys think?

yea, should probably do the trick. I heard once if your freezer doesn't make ice cream hard then its not cold enough. Either way your not going to lose anything, if its not cold enough just evaporate the lot and you'll still be left with dmt.

Well, I didn't really evap enough. I had almost the full volume of naptha in there so I'm going to let it evap for most of the day. Layer the dish between ice in the feezer did work. There was a tiny amount of dmt stuck on the bottom but there were are sorts of snow globes floating in it.

Actually, SWIM decided to carefully pour of his naptha and it looks like he got a fairly good yield. Looks to be a gram or so. He will do more pulls with evap just to be sure. He has learned alot from this experience. Next time this will be done with lab equipment.

yeah, SWIM did three more pull today and is gonna evaporate the naptha until it is cloudy using a fan heater.

Since the DMT is dissolved in the naptha, using a fan heater to evap some of the naptha off won't turn it into DMT N- oxide will it?

SWIM did three more warm pulls, and then evaporated to about a third of the volume. He let that sit one the counter for a while. Then he stuck it in the fridge and went to the store for about 15 min. When he got back the pyrex container was covered in white and the solvent was pure white just from being in the fridge. It's now in SWIM's freezer and will probably have trouble sleeping tonight thinking about it.
