You will have to get used to how to do it, I'm set at 30 Watt on my Geekvape Aegis Legend 3, the air holes are closed down to about 3mm open. You will have to experiment with the length of your inhale and the speed, too fast and you won't get a good hit.
Keep the button pressed until you've stopped counting seconds while inhaling, let go of the button save a bit of breath to inhale a bit of fresh air in afterwards and hold it in, if you are blowing clouds out it hasn't settled in your lungs, so you want to hold in a sensible amount of time and hope to blow out minimal to no vapour (It will vary on how long you've hit it for).

I've made a mix of 500mg + 1ml PG + 0.5ml VG, which i guess is still a bit low on concentration.

It's not that weak, it's ok. Your DMT/base ratio is 0.333g DMT per milliliter of PG/VG base, it would have been 0.4g per milliliter according to my usual 1g/2.5ml base ratio. Not a huge difference. The way you approach the inhalation tension/pace and the power settings will exert a greater difference.

In parallel, in another post I read someone made a mix using 700mg and 0.3ml PG to reach 1mL volume, that seems very strong right?

Does that even dissolve and doesn't that burn the deemzy when toking?

This kind of ratio is rather intended for weakly powered carts. I wouldn't recommend it for subohm tanks. Such concentration is not needed and these ratios are not very practical to use. Spice will dissolve with help of heat but tends to recrystallize at room temp. Not to mention that any juice loss when handling will lead to bigger spice loss too. Some VG in the mix is better for the aerosol carrier and helps for bigger droplets size, which seems better for bioavailability. Anyway, VG can't be used in weak power carts as it's too thick and needs more power for proper aerosolization, which weak carts can't provide, hence the 100% PG usually used in them.

To answer this specifically, in my experience, 1g melted DMT doesn't give 1ml more juice (cf. 0.7g -> 0.7ml you mention). I usually observe a gap lower than that before/after adding the spice. Can't say exactly how much but I'd rather say around 0.5ml more or less for 1g . I guess it could vary according to spice purity, presence of oils, gooish or not, etc., but I definitely never encountered the case where 1g melted DMT equals 1ml more juice.
