Trip while not on dmt

I just had a crazy trip while not on dmt, but I know it was a dmt trip like what people have said they experience with archtype entities, vivid shifting colors and geometry, and I was completely lucid during it. It was like a sorta of Egyptian architecture location with runes and elemental things around me, the walls and ground were mostly solid, but would shift color and shape gradually as it went on, so it was semi static. I was aware I was there and actually tested to see if I could break the dream, but I couldn't. I met a brother sort of archtype and we fought these 2 elementals and then later a giant cosmic level archtype showed up to give me a club that was supposed to help heal a curse that my "brother" had. I actually didnt want to leave this place and was completely comfortable there. The the giant cosmic dude scared me at first, but I chilled out fast and called him back so he would talk to me about the club. This was wild.

This came 2 nights after a heavy drinking relapse.

Please look after yourself, we knew someone who died after a relapse back into drinking. It can have strong mental effects and the person may not realise what they doing is dangerous / deadly.
Also the hallucinations of going cold turkey that people suffer when they go into hospital and no longer have access to alcohol, proper devastation for the person and their families.

For heavy drinking you can start hallucinating because you're exhausted, it depends on what you consider to be heavy drinking of course, but for severe alcoholics I think it's called delirium tremens.

But if it was a positive experience for you, then that is good to hear of course!

You could try to draw or write down the experience to make more sense of it.

Thank you for sharing. I'd agree that it sounds more akin to a delirium or dreamlike state. What distinguishes tryptamines are a sense of clarity and being more real than real. You sound chill and matter-of-fact, while dmt would leave you energetic and in awe. One can experience altered states on a number of substances and even without them using techniques like breathwork or prolonged fasts.

What I dislike about alcohol is that to get to the state you describe requires doses that severely poison your organism. It's a similar case with tobacco and datura, but even they would be more benign, imo. Basically, there are better ways to enjoy these states, but you know it yourself already.

What was your intent with this thread? You've posted it in "open discussion", so there should be something to discuss here. Can you provide some more content to keep us going beyond the topic of abuse?

That's what I'm saying, I left this state with a sense of clarity, I felt good waking up, energized and like I was being told something, not lethargic or drained. I had already gotten past that after the day I drank, and I'm not purposely drinking to reach this state.

It's normal to feel like that after a great lucid and/or psychedelic dream. Dreams can be very psychedelic and weird in all kinds of ways. Doesn't sound too out of the ordinary or DMT-like really. If you haven't tried DMT then I can see why you'd get that impression though

Since you reported me to a mod for telling you not lecture me, I'll say it again, dont lecture me bro, I dont need to hear it from you. Either comment on my experience or dont comment at all. Dumb engagement troll, get over yourself.

You posted this publicly and are upset and surprised when someone politely says to please look after yourself? Your comment was needlessly aggressive. Read the rules here before talking to people like this. Take a day to cool off.

Lol aggressive, ok. Subjective

I have full belief that God/Life/Universe can take you anytime by any means necessary. I don't know how it works, because it's beyond simple human reasoning. We can come up with lots of stories around it, but they would never touch reality. Focus on what you brought back from that experience. What did it mean for you? How does it change your relation to life and yourself? Life is mysterious, and most people miss this simple fact.

This kind of language goes against the rules here. I hope you'll be able to take something valuable out of your time here. Why react so strongly if you don't even know the guy? He posted out of simple empathy. What you're reacting to is your own trigger built over many similar interactions. No one wishes you anything but good here.

Calling someone a dumb engagement troll etc. is needlessly aggressive when A) they didn't even report your comment AFAIK, another mod happened to see it and delete it and B) they were politely saying take care of yourself... Not to mention it's ignorant, and against the rules. Telling the mod to shut up after they warned you isn't helping your case either. See ya in a few days.

Why would I report you to a Mod? I didn't btw.

My only reason for saying what i did was to encourage you to look after yourself. This comes completely from a place of Care. I'm not finger-wagging at you or tut-tut-ing, or anything like that. I merely offered two scenarios that I have experienced around friends and family where either going cold-turkey or falling back off the wagon has happened causing some bad outcomes.

You missed them replying aggressively to you. They were warned by me and seemingly now banned. They seem to be an immature person, so don't take it too seriously. Hopefully they'll come back with a more mature tone.
