Rut ro. Had similar experience with shrooms back in HS. We were not paying attention to the plants we were wading through and got lots of poison oak oil on us and our clothes. Horrible experience and makes you look like a monster for a short while if you get it bad on the head/face.

hahah. im fairly certain lsd makes me immune to most dangerous things when enough is taken ;]. my first festival i camped 50ft into poison ivy in an area marked unsafe by one small trampled sign. guy 40ft from my tent got medivaced for a rattlesnake bite.... he obviously didnt take enough lsd or the snake wouldnt have wanted anything to do with his Salvidor dahli melting ass lol.

Haha, is that because everything inside the tent is just too amazing and wonderful for you to be distracted to go out to the poison ivy?

Meh..., I'll take it.

From the days of, "LSD WILL break your chromosomes" to ..."you'll get poison ivy"...

Damn the truth hurts...or erm...is kinda itchy.

Many years ago, I had an experience being in the woods all night with some friends. There were four of us, two guys, two girls and 4 electric brains. We stayed out until daylight, all of us with lots to say and time to say it. The dumb one in the group was lying in some lovely foliage (picking leaves, ripping them into little pieces and rolling the pieces into little balls...all night and into the morning. Chewing on stems, rubbing, rubbing...). What a dope.

Upon daybreak I was horrified to see what I had been lying in. Thick, green, lush poison ivy. I couldn't believe it. I had been selected for death by pustulent rash. I had always been very allergic to poison ivy. My dispair broilled with waves of sounds of thousands of voices secretly saying "Awwwwwwwwww", "Awwwwww-ful".

Carol saw my dispair and without knowing what she was doing she said the truth, "Maybe if you tell yourself it's OK it will be OK". She was such a nice, beautiful and honest person I couldn't do anything but believe her. I didn't get poison ivy that night or any time ever since. I don't know how that happened. Most people wouldn't understand and that includes me.

I don't believe that advertisement. I'm here to tell you just the opposite is true. But, maybe true if you're not with Carol.
