Well... I have a lot of turpentine sitting around for no particular reason and not doing anything exciting.
That being said, can turpentine be used for any step (particularly defatting, and what a good use if it can be used to FP!)?
Turpentine is non-polar so far as I know, so there shouldn't be any reason that one couldn't use it to extract alkaloids, as long as you don't plan to evaporate it, and move to freeze precipitate instead... Thoughts?
