A Friend of mine performed two A/B extracts with pre powdered MHRB, with freeze-precipitate three-fold in Naphta.
From the first batch he got very fluffy, snow like, transparent crystals. From the second batch, who was performed just the same way, he got a totally white powder.
When he did the first one, after the first freeze-precipitate he got also a withish, but more crystalin powder, witch
turned into the fluffy crystals after the second freeze-precipitate.
He got identical quantities of 400mg/100g MHRB.

Does anybody know why the second batch don't form the fluffy crystals?

Is the ratio spice/Naphta, i.e. the saturation of the Naphta so important in the forming of a crystalin structur?

Will another freeze-preciptiate with fresh hot Naphta improve the crystals?

these things can affect crystal formation. and yes doing a recrystallization will help. however it sounds like you got a nice product to begin with so cool!

I frequently get many different formations in my freezer. I believe, saturation, temperature, and the amount of oils present all affect crystal formatino.

A recrystalization should produce some more uniform crystals.
