I wanted to clean some mescaline hydrochloride using this tek to get some (hopefully) clean mescaline sulfate. It didn't go so well cause from 6.386g of HCl i got only 3.353g of sulfate :
Witch is quite disappointing despite few spills here and there. Of course i didn't throw anything and tried to get more from the basic polar mix and the toluen i used but nothing, only few mg. The last thing was the leftover salting mix. I evaped the acetone (bain-marie style) and left the rest in the fridge. At begining (first days) i saw the usual needles forming and I forgot about it. After more than one week i checked again and i found this :
