Using a pipe and steel wool

I know alot of people use a :herbMT:herb: sandwich to smoke their DMT. SWIM doesn't smoke herb, so would steel wool work just as well?

Of course it would work. Take a bottle, stuff it in the neck, and drill a holl on the bottom. Breathe in. Breathe out.

This kinda just works like a vaporgenie. You don't want the flame to directly hit the mesh, just have hot air flow right through.... VERY SLOWLY.

No question. Although technically you wouldn't want to use steel wool, per se, but rather a ball of either a copper or a steel pan-scouring scrubber. In fact, real steel wool is flammable (learned that in boy scouts, without a doubt!).

Does anyone else hear find the idea of firing up a brand name "Steel Mesh Scrubber" a little bit frightening? As DarkShaman said, steel wool would flash until the temps - I wouldn't feel quite safe recommending just any old steel pan-scrubber. Is it coated with something? If it is, what? If not, is there some way of knowing that?

Does this issue bother other people as well? The machine is clearly a good idea in theory, but are we certain the all "steel scrubbers" are made equal? Some more equal than others ; )

I prefer to use copper over steel, of a variety similar to that of an American brand called chore boy. I must confess, however, that after thoroughly giving a piece of this material the "twice-over" with my propane soldering torch, I have yet to feel concern for anything that it may have been coated with prior to it's "baptism by fire"

Perhaps I can simply offer the suggestion to, in situations where one may not own a blow torch, ensure that the screen material has been sufficiently burn-cleaned before proceeding to smoke/vaporize anything from it (tip: to spare your bic the embarrassment of running low on fluid during mid-hit due to extended periods of use while preparing mesh-screen, one may consider looking to their stove top for support, especially if it is a gas stove {although electric hot plates will work as well}).

Lighters and whatnot leave residue. Make an alcohol candle.
