Vaping with e-cig juice

Migrated topic.
Why would the color of the DMT matter much? Isn't DMT capable of producing a range of colors, but still being pure n,n-DMT? Is yellow a different enough structure that it congeals easier?

Also, has anyone created a calculator for optimal voltage yet? I don't know enough about vaping, but am trying to come up with something anyway. Ideally, we'd want to plug in the amount of PG, VG (ratio and total volume), DMT (mg), coil resistance (ohms), optimal temperature range to reach (around 175C, I think), and what else?

It is said that darker DMT contains more polymer form == larger conglomerations of DMT molecules, so they don't dissolve as well as white monomer form.

For the vaping process: chosing a voltage is, at the lower limit, all about applying enough energy to keep enough liquid boiling as the air is being drawn through to deliver an active dose.

While the upper limit is not applying so much energy that the liquid can't soak into the wick at the rate it's boiling off, which means the coil gets too hot and burns your DMT. Like a saucepan full of water on the stove won't get above 100C until it boils dry, then it heats up to the temperature of the cooker ring, same if you have too thick liquid, or you apply too much energy to your vape coil and your wick dries up.

So it really depends a lot on one's toking style, air hole settings, and details of wick construction as well as the measurable things like ohms and liquid ratios. Add to that the varying desire for vapour concentration in the air being toked that different people have and you really can't say what an "optimal voltage" is, IMHO.

Far better to have simple guidelines, like "start very low, increase until you hear boiling start, try pulling for five seconds, assess effects, adjust up or pull longer if you want more, if it starts tasting harsh you've gone too high", IMHO.

With my DMT-citrate e-liquid I set the vape wattage at around 30-35 Watt and when I puff I pull hard to create as much underpressure as possible.

With a lower pressure the e-liquid will aerosolize at a lower temperature and when it aerosolizes it drags the DMT, in its tiny droplets, with it.

That this works I validated with THC, I set that to a way too low setting for THC to evaporate and the e-liquid worked like a charm by dragging the THC nicely with it.

So with this I think that setting the temperature is not all that important, just keep it all at a low enough wattage and let the aerosolization of the e-liquid do all the work for you, this way the DMT (in whatever form) will stay nicely intact when pulled along with the e-liquid.

Kind regards,
