Posting this while it's fresh:
10/17 Early AM - 150mg Harmine HCL at 5:32 AM.
Well this turned out to be another absolutely EPIC experience. The short version is that the harmine HCL definitely did its job but did produce some nausea. At around 6:20-6:25 AM, 50-55 min after taking the Harmine HCL dissolved in water I started taking a few tokes on the vape. It took 3-4 this time to start feeling much of anything. Then I pushed a little further and for the next hour, maybe hour and ten min I was really pretty deep in it with some breakthrough level visuals at certain points. There’s a certain point you can reach where things sort of open up, the geometry is there but there’s also contrast created by open space. Like a vast open room with some “object” in the center spinning and dancing. I’ve noticed this effect several times.
I definitely also noticed the waves effect that I had heard described by others as influenced by the harmalas. In a DMT experience without harmalas there is a clear point at which things fade, with the harmalas it will occasionally fade a little bit and then come back.
A note about “topping up” the experience: There were several times during the hour or so where I took an additional toke. Then near the end of the hour, I tried to take two in short succession and there was a clear feeling of a “block.” Sort of like a hand came down into my mind’s eye and blocked my path and said “that’s enough.” I chose to respect that message and as soon as I resolved my intention the experience opened up again.
All in all it was exactly what I needed. There was some nerves during the week, a sort of restless feeling, feeling drawn to the DMT experience but also that familiar apprehension which sort of guards and protects it. I came this morning in a good headspace and feeling peaceful and hopeful. The DMT realm rewarded my patience.
Next experiments:
- Harmalas with other simple tryptamines - MPT / MET
- Freebase full spectrum harmalas instead of HCL (ROA uncertain)
- Outside vaporhuasca experience "eyes open"
