very thick aqueous solution

hi all.
new to this.
i followed the chris cantaleno video on youtube.
i used 50g powdered bark and half of all his ingredients , as he used 100g bark powder.
all went well until i put the naptha onto the "aqueous solution"
i swirled the container the same way he did but the product and the naptha did not mix at all, is this likely to affect the end result and if so what could i do differently?

i have ordered pipettes along with a 500ml and a 1000ml Borosilicate glass conical flasks

do not use to heat your soup directly!
i am SO glad you told me that "before"😂

i was trying to imagine how the soup would circulate through the tiny intake🤦‍♂️

Borosilicate "Media bottles" are also favoured as extraction vessels.
i just looked those up and i think they would have a better "hand feel" for me when doing the groovyswirl.
i'll get one and compare.
can y'all tell how into this i am😂

I'm surprised no one has mentioned using proof bottles, which have a bulbous bottom and long, narrow necks – perfect for making sure the naphtha separates entirely from the base soup, which stays at the bottom while the naphtha just occupies the neck. You'll never have to worry about base soup contamination in your final product since the non-polar layer is so easy to pull!

The only caveat is that you shouldn't fill the neck more than 2/3 full with naphtha, to allow for the expansion of both liquid and gas during the heat bath stage. If you don't, you run the risk of spraying both yourself and your workspace with a combo of hot naphtha and soup as it pushes past the plastic or glass stopper. 😒

That's a respectible total yield! Anything in 1 to 2 % means you are doing it right. Well done!

Haha, what will you do with 1.2 grams of NN, DMT? (Hoping the answer is something like smoalk moar).
smoalk moar!👍

great to hear im hitting the right numbers!
thanks
