Migrated topic.

What do you guys think is the best way to go with VG or GVG, about the screens:

-5-8 screens plain+spice
-5 screens with thin bed of ash+spice
-5 screens with thin bed of herbs+spice

Will it waste spice if used 5-8 screens plain

Thanks
Instead of all of those screens, why not a vaporizer liquid pad or any non-toxic metal mesh, such as from a copper “scrubber”?

Yes I'm aware of those options, but those are not easy to find here.

What makes liquid pad or mesh better than screens?

But anyway, I was asking about what is the best option with the screens, I was not asking about other techniques...

The advantage of the scrub or liquid pad is that the spice wont melt through (and it does even with multiple sreens), it will be very effective vaporization too. If you are using multiple screens, you will need also to add other herbs which will generate more vapor and therefore you need to inhale more for the same effects.

Gilbran2 offered some very good alternative point of view by asking that question. Even though it wasnt what you originally asked, it is still very worthy comment. Dont you think its pretty bad attitude if you dismiss other people's valid input like that, when they were trying to help you?

Yes, I think you will waste spice if you use just the screens.

Originally I had 10 screens in mine and it still leaked spice every time. I then removed all but the first screen and shoved the liquid pad down on top of it. Now it never leaks and I can breakthrough on almost half as much spice.

If you must use screens then you should use a leaf bed.

I am not dismissing it, only mentioning they're not easily available here, that's why I was asking abou the screens. And I know that they are best for the purpose, as I have read about it before. Sorry if it seemed like "bad attitude".

However, is bed of ash or herb more better on top of the screens?

I was lead to this site after trying to find a better way to deliver DMT. Two days ago I had my 1st experience and it was with a bong. I was going to buy my own until I started researching ways on delivering DMT. Thanks for all the info. My GVG is on it's way :)

Got my GVG last week, only took about 3 days!! Super happy with it so far :d . I ordered the arc and should be arriving anytime now. Most posts i've seen on the subject have stated to point the flame directly down at the diffuser which is a given to not cause cracking. The Vapor Genie user manual said to not let the flame touch the diffuser as it would cause soot to build up; now is this only the case with bic lighters or is it also true with torch lighters?

Butane torch lighters don’t produce any soot.

Good luck Mt.B. Welcome to the Nexus! Would be nice to hear more from you, if you make an introduction essay! :)
Thanks endless, much appreciated. I'll hopefully bang out something in the next couple of days.

If you live in a cold climate you might want to heat the arc up a bit by holding it in your hands for a few minutes. I find this helps for it to fire up without any problem.

Endlessness - I believe that it is running down the sides... Included are some pics to show exactly what is going on.

Ant - I only cut the liquid pad in half and then shoved both halves into the chamber. I will try folding each half in half and see if that helps.

Well, this thread has convinced me to go buy the gvg. I hate the look of the bulb I've been using because of the relation to the other things it was made for. The gvg looks like a high quality hash pipe, not something else I'm sure your all aware I'm talking about. I have also had some difficulty breaking through using the bulb so it will be nice if the gvg helps me out with that.

I just collected my GVG from the depot, £27.73 for VAT & customs duty in UK!

It is so beautiful, feels great to hold, can't wait to load some pure DMT in there & get aquainted with my new device :)
Hopefully my buddy brings some bud so we can test it quickly tonight, im interested in the difference between the GVG & the WVG.

I was a bit suprised at the size of the RYOT case, it's huge, but pretty nice if i ever need portability, lots of room for lighters, screens etc...

Now to get the liquid pad in there.. :?

Congratulations on your purchase Chronic!

Ive never used the volcano pad in my GVG but I concur with Gibran2- I use a steel wool disc akin to Gibran2s copper version and it works really well in the classic and the G VG.If you use a medium weight of steel wool it shouldnt disintegrate with heating with a standard lighter to burn anything noxious off the surface.
