VG VaporGenie: How to use, where to get, advantages, etc

Well round 2 went alot better. I think the torch lighter helped alot. I only used a fraction of the orginal liquid pad, I can amost see the single screen through the wire in some parts. I haven't noticed any leakage just yet.
Here's the problem, I used the recommend smoking method of inhaling slowly until the the element glows a little, stop heating, then take the vapour contents of the pipe. I hold the vapour in my lungs for a couple seconds and repeat. By the third time I start to feel the effects comming on strong so I want to finish off the bowl but I don't get nearly the same amount of vapour as the first two hits. I've also tried holding the torch to the element while inhaling the third hit. It seems like there is no spice left, but with closer inspection I can see some left on the pad. I wonder if I'm not evenly heating the element, it only glows in the middle of the element and the spice that was left was off center. I hold the third hit in while I melt into a warped reality. I haven't yet hit hyperspace with this method. I'll have to give it another shot tonight.

I never heat the ceramic diffuser to the point of glowing and have never had a problem getting a full dose in one inhalation. The diffuser isn’t a very good heat sink – it doesn’t hold the heat, but rather evenly distributes the heat passing through it.tweebs said:

This thing looks so small, I can only imagine it being incredibly harsh. I tried smoking in one of those bulb vaporizers once, horrendous. I could even toke it, that's how I imagine this thing being. I see someone posted saying they prefer one of those bulbs, shame, I'd like a nice little DMT pipe.
I can't imagine it being smoother than the machine, that's all I've smoked spice in. Although I will be trying in a regular bong in between layers of ash as my machine is made with bottle slightly two big and requires two people to use. Hopefully the ash-layer method is smooth on the lungs.
Oh one quick question (if someone doesn't mind answering), when smoking spice in ash layers do you burn it with the lighter normally, like taking a hit of weed? Or do you need to be careful?

Its not small its quite big. Did you read about how it functions? It is not harsh because you are vaporizing, not burning. Bulb vaporizers are very bad for most people.

) you have to be careful with the fire, yes. Keep it as far away as possible so that the dmt vaporizes but doesnt burn. Just have it very far at first and slowly bring it in till the point where the bong starts being filled with vapor, and stay at this distance.

ah if its in the vaporgenie, Im not sure if ashes will work, people usually enhance herbs or put a volcano liquid pad or metal mesh in the bottom to prevent melted dmt from running away

Well, all “size” humor aside, the GVG is a vaporizer. It is not just a glass pipe.childofthetao said:

The GVG produces vapor that is so smooth you often won’t even know you’re inhaling DMT vapor – it will feel like warm air and nothing more. The GVG is also very efficient, since it never burns or even “toasts” spice, so you don’t have to use nearly as much to get just as far.

I have one of those. Plug it in, stick your nose in the hole at the top and press the button. Inhale and say over and over "I want this. Everything is going to be OK. I AM LOVE".
I vape DMT, siphon diaper goo and grind my coffee with it. I am waiting for the attachment I ordered so that I can hook it up and use it as an emergency sump pump in the event of flash basement flooding.
People here are always complaining about its price, but i think they must just be unaware of its versatility.
In the summers, I read in a review online, you can use it as a grass seed dispenser.

If anyone is debating the purchase of a GVG, stop. I just used my new GVG for the first time last night and am so happy with the investment. 25mg of vaped spice with the help of 3 VG screens and a wad of volcano liquid pad got me way closer to a breakthrough than a recent previous attempt with 50mg and a glass bulb style FB pipe. I think there may even be a little left in the pad for the next blast off. I feel like the dough I spent on this new apparatus has been more than made up for by effectively doubling my spice supply.
Not that smoking spice in a FB pipe is unpleasant, but the GVG makes vaped spice so much more pleasant.

Soooooooo.....my prediction of deeper journeys with the GVG came true this morning! WoooHooo. Not a breakthrough, but at least a return to the glory days of morphing colorful mandalas!

I am a self-proclaimed vaporizer connoisseur and I can tell you that the Vapor Genie is absolutely not a good vaporizer. The reason for this is that it uses butane, has a poor air path (and you inhale butane!), and has no real temperature control. Although you can make it vaporize and you have a much better chance when vaporizing with a Vapor Genie opposed to a pipe, it's still poor performance.
Now, if you are just using DMT, than by all means it will get the job done. However, if you want to invest in a reliable and healthy vaporizer, I recommend other products.
If anyone is interested in a better quality vaporizer please don't hesitate to ask for my suggestions. Although it is much better to do your own research. I have researched, owned, and used a variety of vaporizers in the past years.
Now, if you are just using DMT, than by all means it will get the job done. However, if you want to invest in a reliable and healthy vaporizer, I recommend other products.

That is not true, minuscule amounts of butane are not burned if you are using a regular lighter (it happens much less if at all with a torch lighter). However, you are right in the sense that if all of it is burned, it just produces water and carbon dioxide. The carbon (soot) drastically alters the taste as well, as anyone who has had pure, clean vapor knows.gibran2 said:

I'm not saying that it can't work, but the results are very uncertain in comparison to an electric vaporizer which even though many do not accurately read the temperature, they have consistent temperature so you can judge. My point being to all of this, with a greater investment you can have a much greater product.
No, I have not used a VG or GVG for DMT but I have used both of them and many more for cannabis.
