VG VaporGenie: How to use, where to get, advantages, etc

Migrated topic.
The steel pad is dense, but the wire is round, and that caused in my experience dripping material. It's also made of finer wire and that makes slightly more difficult to make perfect fitting screen. One also has to be careful to remove any small wire pieces, as in worst case they might end up in one's throat, but unlikely of course...
I think it's better to be slightly loose to allow good airflow.

Chore boy copper scrubber mesh works best for me, is cheap on ebay(even cheaper if locally available) and one pack of them lasts me for very long time, while the liquid pads have rather high price for two pads.

Why is the copper better than steel?

I tried stainless steel mesh once and it gave metallic taste. But maybe it was poor quality... When I tried liquid pad it gave no metallic taste, probably because it was better quality stainless steel

Well, just bought a GVG. Can't wait to get it and try some spice for the first time ever.

I just want to claify one thing. When melting the spice onto the screen or onto the copper ball, you don't actually touch the flame to the spice, right? You heat up the screen or the copper ball and then put the spice onto it?

Is it best to have someone with you when you vape your spice so the GVG doesn't fall out of your hand and/or get pushed off the bed or couch or whatever?

Thanks.

Just use a cone to pour the spice in the middle of the mesh screen and then apply the ceramic filter and use your lighter and inhale slowly to melt it. Then you can start again and inhale everything you can. There are other methods, too...

Just put the pipe to your side after you stop inhaling(quickly)😉

Ok cool. Thanks. I CANNOT wait for this. I want to be blown away....I've taken large doses of shrooms many times and I love that...but I am really excited to experience the spice..

Just get some mg scales if you don't have them already(in addition to torch lighter and mesh). Trust me you don't want to be blown away so far you won't want to do it again. Try to take it in single inhalation after you have practiced with temp adjustment. I suggest starting low, about 12 mg in single inhalation, then working one's way up to 25-30mg in single inhalation. Remember it's also important to keep it down for some time, at least 7 seconds. But I guess you know that already. There's plenty of info here on nexus on succesful vaping.

Thanks man. Yeah, I went and got a mg scale a few weeks ago. I just need to go get a torch lighter. I will start like you said with a low dose and go from there.

Good luck.

The arc is very comfortable and good lighter and it's available in many places, from ebay for example.

I agree with the general consensus regarding the use of a reliable torch lighter when using a GVG or VG.

Many torch lighters can be pricey, however, if you don't have a lighter that works every time you need it, it really isn't worth it.

That being said. While recently at a local smoke shop, I saw they sold torch lighters that had the adjustment capability and refill capabilities for $5. It also has a VERY large resevoir for butane.

I have been using it now for several months with stellar results.

Bottom line, don't hesitate to grab a cheaper torch while you have your hunt on for the torch you want to keep for long term use. They are cheap enough, I bought a 2nd one at the same time to make sure I had a backup.

I don't think there's anything magic about expensive torch lighters. If you have one that works every time you need it, has an adjustable flame, and is refillable, I think you have a touchdown.

Just saying

Great post. I'm gonna be buying a torch this week sometime.

I just bought a torch lighter with a slanted 'spout', haven't tried it yet on my GVG that hasn't come in yet, I am worried that the torch lighter might make the vapors too hot, maybe I should turn down the flame...

Yeah, I bought one today at the local head shop. It is curved like "the arc", but it isn't the arc. It was $25, it seems pretty good. Bought some quality butane too.

Got my GVG in the mail yesterday, I wanted to smoke some herb in it before I started using it for DMT. I put some hash and herb in it and smoked - damn, I was stoned, I guess I have been used to burning my herb and so not getting as much THC. The herb turned brown afterwards and looked like tobacco - am I making my GVG too hot? I am using a torch lighter on low and not letting the flame into the barrell on top...

Thanks

How do you guys make your little copper pad for the spice? I bought some chore boys, but how do you get it apart. Do you take scissors and cut off a little piece and then unwind it all and build it from scratch?

Hi guys.

I have problems with spice dripping through...

Using-

GVG
3 screens, copper mesh, preheated and dmt melted on.

Maybe i'm heating too quickly/slowly?
Or inhaling too quickly/slowly?

Would some leaves help? Underneath or on top of the copper?

Thank you!

Cut a piece off with scissors and then shape it into a thin disc with a diameter just slightly smaller than the GVG chamber. No need to unwind it.

If you’ve properly prepared your copper disc, you don’t need any screens at all.

How quickly/slowly are you heating it?
How quickly/slowly are you inhaling?
