Vicksburg, MS DMT Bust

Migrated topic.

Hey guys, here are some articles and misinformation on DMT, stemming from a vicksburg traffic stop. This may be good for CEL to address, but I figured I'd post it in the Info/Discussion as CEL is still quite under construction. Thoughts, suggestions, and comments on what we should do or what an appropriate reaction to this would be from our community are more than welcome.

The drug is a derivative of plants including anadenanthera peregrina seeds and virola bark, which are found in South America and the West Indies. By the time it is used as a recreational drug, it is synthetic.

That's too funny.

I can't take articles like this seriously... sorry.

Is that also REALLY the street value over there?!? (rhetorical) It sounds rediculous. Or is it just a made up number to make law enforcement sound like bigger heroes than they actually aren't?

This is some of the worst reporting I have ever seen in my life.
Great Job, Vicksburg! Your reporters are pathetic.
Our forum greatly outweighs such ignorant iniquity.

Who the hell drives around with 8 grams, anyway?
The guy must be a dealer????
If you're reading this Patrick Andrew Taylor,
Let me say that I think you deserve every punishment they make you endure
(even though NO ONE should be locked up for possessing an endogenous neurotransmitter,
still...where does selling get you? Hmmm....)

this is equally saddening as it is angering. Every aspect of it.
It's very unfortunate that people out there who have no idea what DMT is will read this article and forever hold judgment.

Bingo.

Clearly this august publication follows the time-tested journalistic principle of "never let the facts interfere with a good story". $400 a gram? Synthetic? I wonder if this alleged 'bust' even happened; everything else is such bullshit, they may have made that part up as well.

You're jumping to conclusions. He was going to a family reunion for all we know.

lol, definately alot of anger over an assumption.... let us reflect....

Haha, touche.

(I doubt that)

And yeah, bad reporting on the spice makes me angry. So what?
I'm not one to act peaceful toward someone who has the authority to lie, and manipulate the public.

It's not like I live with this anger constantly,
It was a natural reaction that stems from being passionate.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with that, nor does it bother me :]

I wouldn't say anger, but most of the reporting that I read these days definately gets me somewhat frustrated. The subject matter's irrelevent as it's always got so much spin on it whatever it is. There's so many people out there that choose their own journal catering for what they want to hear and the way they want to hear it. I can't see the point in that personally.

True enough,....but I dont understand this.....

Theyre going to probably make him endure alot, of which he probably doesnt deserve any.... Im sure many of the enlightened here were sold it by the enlightened.... (swim included)

I see absolutely nothing wrong with that, nor does it bother me :]

Anger is natural, outbursts can be controlled :)

If you are offended by my "outburst" which I personally see as just my opinion I will be more than happy to retract it as not to bother you.

lol, Im not offended by your outburst, infact it made me laugh alittle (not with you)... So feel free to continue with your outbursts.

Ill feel free to try and remind you its not worth getting worked up over to have such an outburst

Anger inspires passion. Passion inspires action. Action is what solves problems and gets thing done. Not getting angry is what allows governments to trample all over our rights. I say getting angry is the right response to such absurdity.
hear hear! Yea, can you imagine if all during the civil rights movement there had been no anger? Ha! That's a joke.

peace
