Check out this very cool project; I'd love to see your 4d brain while on Spice/etc.

The Brain through an Oculus Rift

"creates a virtual reality tour of a person’s brain using recorded MRI and EEG data. It all takes place in real time, making it possible for people to see the changes in a subject’s brain as they occur."

I've brought up VR a few times,such as: in the future maybe we will be able to record our breakthroughs and dreams creating a sort of 'DreamTube'

I got into DMT around the same time as I started to play with VR, and I feel there's something HUGE to this relationship..

What have been your thoughts/visions/ideas on VR?

(if your new to the rifts, here's a example:
)

sidenote: Oculus Rift developer kit 2 is now for sale

That video is really cool. I hate techno music but I was able to sit through it since the video was interesting.

I don't know whether I like the idea of being able to record dreams or visions. I have no doubt that it would be cool, but would it detract from the experience? Part of the experience of these things is that they are ephemeral and can only be experienced under certain circumstances. Plus, dreams and visions are some of the most personal things there are. Talking about them is one thing, but actually being able to show them to people is a different story. Plus, there are always emotions and non-visual sensations associated with dreams and visions and these would be difficult if not impossible to accurately convey.

One thing I think would be really cool is if you could manifest your thoughts into an interactive virtual reality in real time. There was an episode of "American Dad" along this line yesterday. I bet it would even more awesome while on oral DMT. This would allow you to combine the all encompassing aspect of the experience of smoking DMT, with the more tangible and accessible aspects of oral DMT. It could also be the most terrifying thing ever.

I've been hanging for the Oculus Rift.. I think it will take VR to the level that we were all hoping for during the days of "The Lawn mower man"

I think it's very likely that one day we can record our dreams and spice journeys, even share them with another mind in real-time

There are endless possibilities and yes, also for psychedelics. I don't have a link handy, but there are people who are currently developing "Psychedelic enhancers" and calm virtual environments for psychedelic experiences. There are, of course, 3D fractal flybys in 3D etc etc

On a sidenote, facebook just bought oculus. So expect things getting real...fast.
