Washing mescaline

Migrated topic.
SWIM says that it is pretty apparent that mescaline carbonate is reasonably insoluble in cold 99% IPA, and the other alkaloids (from torch) dissolve easily in room temperature IPA.

This makes 99% IPA a good route to obtain white crystals from impure carbonated water pulls.

Furthermore...

Rather large, white crystals can be precipitated out of the carbonated water pull by the mere addition of isopropyl alcohol. Pics when SWIM returns from vacation.

Haven't been able to find anything for this, hopefully I didn't just miss it if it has already been posted.

But SWIM isn't able to get MEK anywhere, he can get acetone though, would anhydrous acetone with some % of limonene/xylene/naptha added work for mescaline acetate?

Since acetone is slightly more polar than IPA then more than 11% would have to be added, what would be good to start with? 12, 14, 20?

Thanks.

This sounds suspicious. It seems a little too good to be true that mesc carbonate could precipitate out in dilute IPA solution. Did said crystals have any activity? If so, at what dose?

any methods on cleaning mescaline sulfate?

If I remember correctly, that's one of the easiest salts to clean. I can't remember if this applies to M. Sulfate or M. HCl - but I think you may just be able to dissolve it in H2O and then freeze-precipitation should yield crystals. Search the site, I'm positive it's been discussed before (maybe even in this thread lol)

Might I ask where you got the sulfuric acid to make it? SWIM has not been able to find any food-grade H2SO4.
