How much water / lye / naphtha would I need for 250 gram / 500 gram / 1kg extractions?
15 ml * 250 is 3,75 liter of water. This seems a bit much? I use powdered mimosa hostilis bark.
Is there a formula for this?
Thenks in advance

Common suggestion (for STB) mhrb:NaOH:water ratio is 1:1:15. May seem to be high, but with less water there can be problems with emulsion. It's good to leave the mixture for a day before adding non-polar.
Another suggestion is proper saturation with NaCl before adding naptha (if naptha is used). Do not use NaCl with toluene, can cause huge emulsion.

So 1kg extraction would need 15 l of water? plus naphtha and lye
How would you go about that.
