over the years me and my circle have come upon certain understandings kinda without words of rules if you will about smoking bud... i was curious to hear others

cornering- this means like taking a hit from one corner of the bowl and leaving green for the next person instead of just scorching the top of the bowl.

pass to the left...always

alternate first hits after bowl packs

instead of taking the biggest hit you possibly can and coughing it all out wasting it like a dumbass:roll: take a normal hit you can hold and make last so everyone can get stoned..

when smoking joints... puff hold puff pass ... not puff puff puff puff puff pass:roll:

thats right!! i cant stress that enough especially with smoking hash or oil...
thats one i still cant get my friends to follow well... i however dont use a leather or whatever i just thumb it out... heh im a mechanic my hands are pretty resilient.. i remember when i got my first chemical burn (clump of lye on wet hand) i watched it and finished what i was doing before neutralizing it with vinegar.. the whole time thinking "dont block it embrace it..." (thank you chuck palahniuk)
 
Haha, well getcha a nice piece of leather, you can buy them at craft stores, works great, I don't smoke with it.

eh my thumb will live i dont even think about it been doing it for years.. i put my cigs out in a similar manner, squash the cherry between the side of my index and my thumb.. doesnt bother me i dunno maybe i like the pain (reminder of reality) but i really dont feel it just got calluses like that..

In northern California, it is a common thing to gift small amounts of mj. Also, they give away greens all the time, if I pack it, you hit it kind of deal.
Oh, also, try to check your pockets for someone elses lighter before you leave.
 
If you start it you have to finish it. I know a guy who will match me half and half on a bowl, take two hits and stop. While it's great that he doesn't want to get too fucked up, it was pretty much a waste of weed, why pack up so much just to take the green hits and leave the rest.

Ask before you touch some one else's bud.

No smoke and dash. IE smoking a bowl and immediately leaving.

ABSOLUTELY NO PINCHING. I used to be in a group of friends that would take a nug from anyone's sack if they weren't looking. They are my friends no more.

and my personal smoking pet peeve, just because you have good pot doesn't mean you can complain about anyone elses.
 
No bud picking allowed; ie, don't carefully pick out all nicest bits of the mix for your cone.

No leaving a ghost in the chamber.

If it needs stoking, do it. The last thing the next dude wants is to have her/his cone ruined by a clog you left in there.

Dribbling into the bong is heavily frowned upon.
 
giving greens is a huge complement in my circle(s). cornering is a requirement.

if the bud is no good and you dont want to push your better high out for a worse one. mouth and blow out a baby hit. even though it seems silly, refusing always receives unspoken strangeness esp. if you are already visibly high.
