Weighing
SWIM has heard McKenna state that 50mg is about the size of a kitchen match head, but would rather use a scale, a very precise one at that. The first one obtained was this one off ebay:
It was soon determined that measuring out 50mg at the .01 scale would not do it and that a scale accurate to .001 would be necessary. A few have been discussed on the nexus which are priced under $50 but apparently those are not trustworthy either. To get an accurate reading, will a scale costing a couple hundred dollars be necessary? If so, SWIM might actually invest in one. Any recommendations?
Handling + Storage
SWIM obtained a couple different sized amber vials for storage, an eighth dram and a 1 dram. I assume these are optimal, as they block light and air from entering, preventing possible degradation. The only problem SWIM has found is that these vials have a neck in them, leading to another issue. Following a freeze precipitation, scraping spice off the bottom of a jar reveals just how sticky it is, which makes SWIM wonder what it will be like storing it in a vial, but more importantly how to scoop it out when needed. SWIM imagines a miniature spoon or something similar would be optimal but has no idea if these exist, although one could be created.
Vaporizing
A bent meth-type pipe was obtained, although SWIM has heard many good things about the machine. Although probably nothing to worry about, SWIM does not like the idea of inhaling the spice through a shredded metal screen. Anyone have thoughts on the best smoking method? The met-pipe seems it would be the cleanest way.
