I've done DMT about 5 times within the past two weeks or so. Each time I do it I use a Volcano Vaproizer and I sprinkle the DMT over already vaped weed.

I smoked weed last night from a bong which has never had DMT in it. It was the most weed I've smoked since I did the DMT. My trip was by far the most intense weed trip I've ever had. I was seeing pretty significant CEVs(not as vibrant as DMT, but still pretty intense) and even some mild OEV (mostly tunnel vision and some pixelation). I also kind of started falling into a bit of a loop with my thinking. All of this lasted for about 30-45 minutes.

Has anyone experienced a significantly more intense marijuana experience after using DMT and marijuana? Any one know the physiology behind this? How is it that my body was producing a reaction somewhat similar to DMT without DMT being introduced?

Thanks

yeah, after a ton of trips I am not be able to smoke mj in a social manner.

ditto. psychedelics made me realize that mj is an entheogen and must be respected.

either that or I'm just slowly going crazy 😁 but who isn't now a days :p

There is actually a thread HERE where a member suggests that smoking a lot of marijuana directly on the come down from a DMT trip can send you back into your DMT trip. Unfortunately there has been some misunderstandings between a couple members and the OP of that thread on the topic, hopefully will be resolved soon.

My theory is that the DMT potentiates any marijuana use afterwards, and that theory isnt new.

That's interesting that it's so common. I'm really interested in the science behind this.

Does this ever stop? Will it continue to happen to me even if I never smoke DMT again?

Smoking weed for me these days is always very psychedelic. It didn't use to be this way, but I remember there was once where I had a sort of psychedelic trip from weed even before I ever tried any other psychedelic. These days when I smoke, I get the same sort of effects as that first time I actually had visuals from it, but just every time.

Is it because I've taken many more psychedelic drugs? It could be, who knows? For me it happens every time I smoke even a small amount (75 mg).

You prolly won't know until you experiment. I have read some users state that the marijuana high is forever different now. Some have even quit smoking due to this phenomenon.

A friend of mine however, observes no change whatsoever.

I honestly think that cannabis has a synergistic relationship with most psychedelics, or perhaps most drugs! I actually see that as a strength that cannabis possesses, it has the ability to play a wonderful supporting role to any trip. But I haven't noticed that smoking directly after sends me "back in"... and what about reports of cannabis "dulling" the experience if smoked previously? I don't notice that either, for the record.

But I HAVE noticed that I have visuals almost all the time now that I am a regular DMT user. I actually have had strong hypnogogic imagery even when not going to sleep since childhood. Heavy DXM use when I was younger also increased my base-level of visuals... I guess it could be HPPD but it causes no distress whatsoever, so it isn't a disorder. Cannabis does increase this while I am high.

So do you consider this a problem? I'd say you just added a psychedelic to the platter! But If you don't enjoy it due to this, don't smoke it! or don't use psychedelics so often! How frequent are we talking here, if you don't mind me asking?

AluminumFoilRobots, I have definitely noticed cannabis dulling the dmt experience. When I smoke with my trip friend, we generally use oregano in a bowl as a medium to help vaporize, rather than burn the dmt, because we are noobs to the whole thing and dont have a more efficient method of smoking, yet. but weve experimented with various media and, when using cannabis (roughly equal amounts of dmt per trip, but no scale with 1mg precision, so its all estimation, thus any conclusions made cant REALLY be valid...) both my friend and I have noticed a significant decrease in strength of the trip.

I've not fallen back in after smoking cannabis right after a trip either. I like cannabis afterward as I like to reflect on past experiences while smoking it. Ever since acid weed has never been the same, but i havent noticed any change in being high since dmt, though, I have noticed I get drunk waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay faster since smoking dmt, which is pretty interesting.

I love dmt

Would you mind sharing your age and how long you have been using cannabis?

I wouldn't consider it a problem at this point. I was just caught totally off guard. I definitely don't want to be that high every time I smoke marijuana. But I suspect if I smoke a smaller amount it won't be as intense. If that's the case, then I think it is definitely a benefit.

I use to smoke marijuana every day but in the past couple of months have been doing it a few times a week. I've used salvia but not very often. I don't have much DMT left and I think I'll probably just finish that off and I'll be done with it.

Well, metal, the "dulling" could potentially be something to do with how hot the two herbs burn - if cannabis burns hotter then more DMT may be destroyed, or it may be some other factor. Or it could be that the cannabis is dulling it for you, I don't know. I don't notice it, but I've read lots of reports that say otherwise.

I can see how this could catch you off guard, and depending on the situation it could be bad!
