What do Curanderos think about the DMT experience and its rising popularity?

I must not be a very good student, as the only thing I learned from this person is that seeking to impose a hierarchical framework (with oneself at the top, naturally) on what is essentially a non-hierarchical community, makes one look foolish and out of touch, especially when claiming special shamanic knowledge.
My attempt at sarcasm missed the point once again. I will get it right someday 😮‍💨

I feel you are a good student and got the main lesson. Maybe we can broaden our idea of what a teacher should be. That is why I pointed out that his actions were of more value than his words. He showed me that even years of work with healers give you nothing if you do not want to change inside. It can even backfire and leave you delusional, as was the case with our preacher. As Buddha said, I can only show you the way. If a person does not work on their issues and just ingests lots of medicine, it becomes a poison instead and feeds the ego, making it enormously big. Life used @Ajqij to teach us all a lesson. We still need to give credit to the vessel through which life did it, imo.

Thanks for clarifying and I agree. While I feel resistant to giving him too much credit, I did notice that he didn’t seem to react with too much defensiveness or aggression, despite people coming down on him from all sides. However, I may not be remembering the whole saga accurately, and it may have been the case that he was a bit of a baboon (with respect to actual baboons), all around.

I am trying to shift all my relationships toward gratitude. All the people I have interacted with during my life have made me who I am today. Thank you 🙇‍♂️

This is just a personal caveat, but while I learn from everyone, I wouldn't consider everyone a teacher, and we don't learn only through being taught.

Still, we learn. As in the Tibetan tradition, you can have many teachers but only one root guru who made it click for you. I consider everyone a teacher for my own benefit because it creates positive momentum in my psyche. Imo, it is better to be grateful even for resistance. Whatever this world is, I live from my own subjective perspective and need to take responsibility for living cleanly. Everything could be a lesson, but it is not an easy outlook to maintain. You know yourself best, so proceed accordingly.

I'm just trying to join the party, if that's okay. I smell what you're stepping in, and that's why I tried to keep it personal. For me, when I think of teaching, I see it mainly as an active process, but I learn all the time from things that don't have that active process. It is then me who kind of teaches myself based off of the sense data, information, and general experience, and my choices in it, that lead to my learning. That being said, we can always be learning, even when we're not taught, imho.

At the same time, we are different, and I have not thought about "creating such a positive momentum" in my psyche while also not knowing if that approach is right for me, and for that I commend you

You should know very well by now that your input and approach are always welcomed by me. I am of a much simpler constitution and seldom have your depth of thought.
I subscribe to personal sovereignty and finding your own best approach to life. However you spin it inside yourself, if it becomes useful and makes you evolve, all is good.

Much Love
