If we did a small quizz about decades using music and clothing style. Or anything cultural. We'd be able to pass the quiz easily distinguishing from the 50s to the 60s and 70s etc. They had their own vibes style and culture. But after 1999 seems like it stopped. Idk

Watch “The Matrix” documentary. The 90s were the peak of human civilization 😂
On a serious note, internet put us in a cultural coffin.
Social nets & smartphones put nails in it.

I've been thinking the same lately as well. Music, fashion, style – it all got put on pause, I would say in September 2001. Cars look the same. Clothes look the same. The music – meh... autotune is not an innovation, like what The Beatles, the guys at Motown, Phil Specter, etc. were doing in their day.

A few years back in NYC, I was having a conversation with a guy who'd been a bartender for like 18 years – he started sometime in the 90s. He said that when he first started, people would come in, have at least 5 drinks, get smashed or go home with somebody by the end of the night. "Now," he said (circa 2018), "people come to the bar with their friends, order one drink and sit there looking at their cell phones for an hour and a half or two, then get up and go home separately."

I met a guy named Jim when I was on holiday in Tortola – he was from some small town north of London. He told me that he was shocked the last time he visited his family. He always takes the train to his town, and he told me "It was always very alive, with everyone talking to one another – sharing stories and maybe some beers. Didn't matter they were strangers – we all had a common bond, coming from the same place! It was like a party – every time! But last time, when I went home – wouldn't you know‽ Everyone's on their phones: no one even looks at one another! I tried striking up a conversation with a guy sitting next to me, and all he did was look up for a second to grunt – he didn't even say a word! And he went right back to his phone..."

Will AI [sic] lower us into the hole? And quantum computing pat down the earth? Remember to keep viable seeds in your pockets at all times ;)

Not physically, but that's the idea. With all the tech around, human morals are at an all-time low. I don't know how we've survived for so long...
Mother Earth is truly gracious 🌎🙇‍♂️

90s fashion is back for sure. I see kids at the skatepark or beach parking lot and it’s pretty funny the styles that are back in.

It’s even become trendy to ride old school or shaped skateboards/vintage longboards…I see companies rereleasing shoes I wore as a kid.

The current level of progress in surf/skate/snow/ski/bmx etc is on the other hand, incomprehensible and it’s not slowing down.

I think some of the best music is still being made.

I know music is subjective but Im confident that nothing will ever Trump the love making , funk and dance music of the 60s 70s and 80s. Guess i can't speak on the real bands that are actually still playing their own music.

It’s a personal thing. I don’t care much for classic rock honestly…I mean I like some of it but I prefer a lot of newer electronic music.

Everything from the 60s/70s sounds flat in comparison.
