What is a mini A/B

Migrated topic.

For the life of me I can not figure out what a mini A/B is. I have searched these forums several times looking for the answer. I have used the search function. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

3- Do a 'mini A/B' (mixing the separated dark solvent with vinegar 3x, separating the vinegar and discarding the solvent. Then basify the vinegar by adding lye, and pull with fresh solvent)

1. What is vinegar 3x? DO the process 3 times?
2. How much vinegar to add to the saturated naptha?
3. How much lye to add to the vinegar?
4. Is the old naphtha no good now?

---
If cats understand this,
1. add vinegar to the saturated naphtha and mix
2. wait for the mix to separate
3. use an eye dropper to pull out naphtha (the spice is now in the vinegar?)
4. add lye to the vinegar
5. add fresh naphtha to the basified vinegar and mix
6. pull out naphtha and freeze?

A mini a/b is when you take your finished spice product and absorb it into a solvent, mix it with an acid(vinegar) to turn it into a salt leaving the plant oils and other stuff behind in the solvent, then you decant the solvent, basify the acid, and do another pull on it. It's call mini a/b because you dont need near as much acid or base to achieve your end goal as you would if you were doing it with plant material.

1. Vinegar 3x means you mix your solvent with vinegar, seperate the two, then mix the solvent with new vinegar again, add the original vinegar with the second vinegar, then hit the solvent with vinegar one last time to make sure it has all been salted and in the vinegar. At that point the solvent is generally cashed.
2. I've heard 15ml per G of spice is how much it will hold, but I think your best bet is it do 3 sets of 100ml. Of course its dependant upon how much dmt is actually in your solvent. Try and use about a 1:1 ratio.
3. Depends on how much vinegar you have. 5g per 100ml should be fine.
4. Old naptha has little to no DMT in it, but you can ALWAYS REUSE YOUR NAPTHA.

The whole idea of doing this is to defat the solvent before freeze precipe , so it's totaly unessasery to rewash already freebase spice ! For that you do a recrystalization !

The mini ab work extremely well for ACRB as it saves wasting solvent doing a defat before the acidifying stage !

So just do you're extraction as normal then get all the naps from multible pulls then add naps to water ph 2-4 shake the hell outta it then remove old naps discard the add lye to ph 12+ It will go white strt away and precipatation will happen at this time aswell but just mix and pull with fresh naps then freeze precipe as normal !!

okay sorry my buddys a somewhat newbie.
example or understanding it.
put 3gs of dry spice with 3-5mL nap
add roughly 50mL+ of vinegar separate repeat x3 times.
add lye or soda carb.
mix/stir?
separate and freeze precip
?

Probably best to swap out the naphtha for fresh stuff after the acidification and subsequent addition of base.

The idea is to dissolve the DMT in the naphtha, pull it into the acidic phase (white vinegar) [use little more than the bare minimum if you can]
then you discard [i.e. reserve for recycling and reuse] the naphtha ("three washes" should be a clue that the vinegar phases are separated)
the vinegar washes get treated with lye until they are sufficiently basic
then another naphtha (or, ideally, heptane) pull or three will recover the DMT and return you (hopefully) sparkly white crystals via freeze precip.

just so my buddy ends up doing this right. put your dmt with as little heptane(warm?) as possible just enough to dissolve add the vinegar lil more then the bare minimum which is (equal parts to the dmt weight? or i.e. 3 gs dmt to 3 ml vinager?). add lye until it’s a significant base then some heptane x 3 times. you know what there’s gotta be a video out there i’m going to use my research skills cuz obviously he’s not familiar with A/B techniques. needs to familiarize him self with it.
