What is a “Nexus” and how is “Dialogue” instrumental to its authentic nature?

Greetings fellow psychonauts. I would like to explore the two questions in this post’s title with you. According to the dictionary, a Nexus is “a series of connections linking two or more things.” I suggest to you that this forum may have some growing to do around “. . . “linking two or more things.” Please consider the following . . .

The Attitude section, “Learn and give back” offers this: “The Nexus is a community that thrives on the collaborative efforts of members in different areas throughout the years. We depend on the contributions of all Nexians, be it seniors or new members, to create, maintain, and update the quality information here.”

I’m questioning the degree to which this attitude is being considered. While there have been a few collaborative interactions in my posts, a number of them have been rude, combative, and lacking collaboration or a willingness to learn. (This is my experience as a “new member” and not being shared as “the truth” nor do I want to negate members for their style of engagement.)

I joined this forum to both learn what is being pioneered with DMT and to contribute life experience I've gained over the years with hallucinogens, and specifically the profound convergent insights I’ve acquired with Keepers of Plant Medicine from Central and South America. What I’m giving back here is convergent knowledge, not critical thinking, and I want to explore the differences between these two modes of interaction because I believe both are needed for healthy dialogue to occur. I submit to you that we may be confusing Dialogue with Debate, a misidentification that does not, in my estimation, forward collaboration and learning. Here is my take on the two . . .

Dialogue is a collaborative inquiry process in which people engage with an open mind and heart for purposes of learning and growing from one another.

Debate is a conflictive and divisive process in which people square off and point out flaws and inconsistencies in order to invalidate the other and attain superiority over them.

I don't think I'm better than anyone here, we are all travelers in this universe with diverse paths and aspirations. I have no agenda about telling people how they should use DMT or what its experiences should mean. Nor do I think the convergent knowledge I have to share is the Truth. But what I do know is that it holds as much merit as critical thinking does. I humbly ask that we take another pass at Healthy Dialogue and perhaps explore what convergent knowledge is. By doing so, in my heart, I believe we can enhance and elevate the quality of our learning, sharing, and expanding here in the DMT Nexus. In Lak’ech
