This is the first time I've done an evaporation rather then a freeze precipitation.

I used sunnyside naptha.

The clear area is the are I scraped.

The rest is a yellowish wave.
I don't know what to do?
Is it smokable?
Will it dry away?

that looks like a LOT of plant fats and oils with very little crystalline DMT. some might call it 'jungle spice', but it just looks to me like something you're definitely gonna want to recrystallize....at least once anyways....

keep us posted!

L&G!!

maybe your naphtha has small amounts of aromatics (like xylene or similar) which makes it pull a more red fraction, possibly plant fats and oils as antrocles said. If that is it, it could be ok to smoke but it could also be somewhat harsh smoke, its hard to tell from a picture.

Did you do an evap test on your naphtha to see if it evaps clean, btw?

Is that first picture of the a toilet?:)

What tek did you use, and did you do a test evap of the naptha? how hot was the naptha when you pulled? It does look like ALOT of fats and oils.

Check to see if the naptha is clean. I wouldnt smoke that, clean it first and see what comes of that. Do a re-x and a SC wash if needed.

No, that was a major mistake on my part as i always freeze precipitate.

I was about to place the bowl on the dry ice and i thought "iv'e never evaporated"

I will do a test right now.

Just another image.
I scraped up most of it.

It's my second pull on 100 g mhrb using normans tek.
I let it sit for about 3 days though.

I recall when seeing the naptha in the turkey baster it was VERY yellow.

It was a urine yellow and very blurry.

whenever i've pulled anything dark yellow or red, i always do a sodium carbonate wash on it (usually 2 SC washes and a plain water wash) and that should get you to the 'pale pale yellow' point anyways.

freeze precip is definitely the way to get cleaner crystals though. evapping is gonna leave you with any fats and oils that may be present...which usually isn't a big deal if your pulls are moderately clean. in this particular case i think an SC wash would have been a good idea.

i also agree with endlessness that your solvent seems to have pulled a pretty good deal of stuff. could be that your naphtha has aromatics or sometimes heating naphtha super hot before pulling can wind up getting a bit more flotsam than you want.

either way, what you have there is totally clean-up-able.

BRING ON THE HEPTANE!! ;)

L&G!!

bestine is the best. it is pure heptane....bestine is just the brand name....

any good art supply place will have it...like hyperspacing said, it's a rubber cement remover. awesome for rextal and making changa because it evaporates so quickly and so completely.

L&G!!
