What's wrong with my salvia?

So my Salvia divinorum plant is doing great except for what looks like some sort of rot. Has anybody had experience with anything like this? Will it go away, can I fix it, is it harming my plant, should I be worried? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It's just pictures so I can't tell from here but your soil looks pretty wet. Is it possible you're over-watering it?

Let the top of the soil dry out between watering.

Yeah, it's not terrible, but it is in trouble. Dead man's right, a whole lot less watering is needed. Are you keeping your plant indoor or outdoor or both? Granted I'm no expert however, I honestly only ever watered my plant 2-3 times a week, making sure the soil is saturated, but not soaked or logged and then I'd just let it hang out for a few days before watering again.. Worked great for me. Keep us updated on the progress!

BabalonBorne: Its indoors right now, but once it gets larger I plan on putting it outside at least during the day.

So i actually re-potted it in some looser soil and started to let the top of the substrate dry out before i watered it and it seems to have corrected itself. I appreciate all the help.
