Where to find lye?

My friend can only find things that are close to lye, but not lye...any suggestions for her?

I just recieved a phonecall from her and she has got it!

This is generally well known. Lye was pulled off the shelves because it is used for meth production. So, the classic, Red Devil lye is long gone. You have two options, go online and order some reagent grade (check ebay for starters) or buy Lye at a hardware store. You will be looking for drain cleaner - composed entirely of solid matter. Look for "100% Lye" on the packaging.
