Most times I make a single thread with subject subsection questions, parts just get forgotten or ignored. If it bothers you my fellow nexusers then I will go back to making condensed threads. I just thought the topics were sufficiently different to warrant this format.

Sorry. Let me reword that. Which maoi used in conjunction with dmt or a dmt plant will create an oral dmt experience most similar to vaped dmt (but obviously extended). Basically which natural maoi adds the least new aspects to the experience while still allowing the dmt to be orally active?

It is definitely more dose related than substance related.
There will be psychoactive effects from the harmalas, especially at higher doses.
If you want to strictly inhibit the MAO try low doses of harmalas like 2g of rue or 100mg of harmine or harmaline (found in caapi and rue but can be extracted.)
Even at these doses there is a noticeable synergy.
Relaxation, comfort, warmth, etc. It really goes hand in hand with DMT.
Higher doses of them on their own have very psychedelic effects.

Harmalas are incredile and have their own psychedelic/thereaputic effects. Many of us hardly ever bother to take DMT in any form without them. To each there own I guess, but I would give them a chance at some point. A lot of people who just use the smallest amount necessary to activate the DMT are missing out on a whole other experience, but that's not to say those low-harmala experiences don't have their place to...

Would a 5g rue tea be a decent starter dose for a pyschedelic level harmala experience? Is there any good way to counter the nausea and vascoconstriction?

Well, for his mushrooms, swim takes rue often, but doesn't make tea. Rather he grinds it up with a "Magic Bullet" (basically a super coffee grinder), pour some water in his mouth, pours the rue into the water, and swallows. Seems to work rather well for MAO inhibition with mushrooms. Also minimal nausea. Not sure if that's just swim's strong stomach or other..Would this route of administration work for the rue to be taken prior to the DMT dose?
