Good points about not rushing the process for someone new to extraction, but SWIM's striving toward expedience for the sake of security. Extractions that take a month or so can be a little difficult to conceal, especially if you have very little space to operate in...to conceal from guests or a landlord or maintenance workers or even emergency workers. Solvent evaporation and freezer storage, especially, can become more and more risky the longer they're implemented. SWIM says to get it out of the bark and safely stashed as soon as possible. Yes, it's a fun process to take your time with, but don't linger in the danger zone any longer than necessary.
However, there is no safe way to to engage in any of this for those in dorm situations or with unsympathetic roommates (family or otherwise). You will eventually be caught and contribute to chipping away at the security of the entheogenic extraction community as a whole. Either befriend some hippie townies crazy enough to do it themselves or get your own place, and please don't doom yourself and the rest of the community by partaking if you're a minor.
