Why not evap first then recrystalize?

I heard from someone that they when just evaporating their last naptha pull (without freeze precipitating) they got yellow crystals. Made me wonder, why not just evap first, then recrystalize? This way you could get all the spice in the naptha at once.

There are a few tradeoffs.. if you freeze precip, you get pretty clean spice already, and can stop at that point. Also you may re-use your naptha to do more pulls. but you may or may not get all your spice out. If your freezer isn't cold enough..or if there just isn't much in there to precipitate. With evap, you kinda NEED to recrystalize, you also use up a lot more naptha. And your spice may get gooey at warm room temps until you recrystallize it. I usually freeze my first few large pulls thati know will have a lot of spice. and then evap any other smaller yielding pulls.

My friend just freeze precip overnight, he poured that thru a filter and then evap the rest. is that ok to evap while its stil cold? or should it have been heated up or anything different?
