Will a non-active source crystalize?

Will a non-active source still provide any crystals? I'm not completely sure on my DMT source (Acacia acquired by SWIM, still suspicious about the ID). SWIM has attempted the extraction which is freezing at the moment and everything appears as it should. Will there only be crystals if there are Alkaloids/Tryptamines present or can they be non-active?

Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, just curious before I attempt another extraction or put this current batch to use.
