Would this work? - Heated Peruvian Torch Alcohol Extraction

Hey guys, been doing a bit of reading about mescaline extractions and have decided to go for a simple 99% IPA extraction as a first try to get my feet wet.

I understand heating can speed up the process so what I'm thinking is using a hot water bath to heat the alcohol/cacti solution. I know microwaves and open flames are a no no unless you know exactly what you are doing, which I don't.

Would a hot water bath be safe and effective?

yes, this is my preffered method of preparing cactus. Full spectrum effects, no nausea, and simple extraction. simple hot water bath works fine for me.

protip - line your evaporation dish with wax paper, makes getting your resin out much simpler. if you evap on a glass dish you will have a messy time trying to scrape it all out.

Dont mean to curve the convo but on the topic of heating, does anyone know/have an ideal temperature? And does mild higher temp work, like say body temp of slightly lower, or must it be at higher temps like 115-120.
