I want 1 or 2 kids for sure. I wont have any kids until I am 100% self employed and can creat my own schedule and work from home etc. I want to be able to dedicate my time to actually being around when I have kids, and I want to be able to teach them about life and not just send them off to school to learn god knows what. I dont think I would send my kids to public school, but I also dont want to shelter them or cut them off from normal socializing so I would have to find a way to have them properly educated yet still have lots of contact with other kids..and I dont want to have kids in the city either, or in an apartment..
"Ragabr: i agree that as a parent you are exposed to lot's of social pressure. Most of the parents from our kindergarten are those narrow minded, materialistic people with whom i do not want to share my spare time and living in a small village with mostly white conservative parents, i do stick out of the group with my African face and African semi dreaded hair but hey...it's just funny to see the irony of it all"
That is a problem with public school. I dont feel at all that to have kids I need to change my beliefs or psychedelic practices..yet if your kids go off to school saying odd things about it to teachers/other parents there will be problems, which is a sad side effect of our culture. When I have kids I will explain to them exactly what it is I am doing but only when they are old enough to understand it..Where I live there is no shorage of similar minded psychedelic people, both young and old and with children. Thats one good thing about BC, there are tons of islands etc all around that are almost like semi-communes..not really communes but towns filled with hippies who grew up and got out of the city, had kids etc and now live better lives.
I have thought about this alot. I dont think I would be ready still for another 5 years though.

She's so cute and funny and I always look forward to seeing her when I'm on my way to pick her up at the kindergarden.
