Xian Lu Gen + Syrian Rue, safe to do as my first??

Due to living with his parents, and that SWIM doesn't have more than a week or two till he leaves to visit his homeland, he's thinking about just taking "ayahuasca" one of these nights rather than extracting. Will the purging process be hard to hide? SWIM lives in an apartment. The last and only time he smoked spice was a year ago, and he hasn't tried aya.

Another thing SWIM is worried about is going over the top with the amount of Xian Lu Gen; he hasn't seen anyone reporting using this so he thinks he should use what would seem "more than enough to energize."

Any help would be much appreciated.

I don´t know if I get you right. Are your parents present while you want to do your AYA analogue session??
If yes wow, the possibility of someone blasting in your room while you´re loaded isn´t very attractive.:shock: In addition the anxiety about the possibility would probably ruin your journey.

If no, ok.
You can do your purging in your room, using a double linned bucket.
I always puked hard on rue tea, not to compare with caapi (a lot gentler).

Never tried Xian Lu Gen, though no help from my side on ths herb.

Im skeptical of the apparent DMT content of phragmites to be honest. Id go with more established DMT sources before you move onto these obscure plants than are rumoured to be decent carriers of the spice, so that you will at least have something definative to compare it to.

Set and setting sounds off to me if your in your room trying to hide it from people.

Damn, you're right. How about a public park? No one really goes to it, but the street is close. Will car sounds be bothersome? I'll order MHRB, and when it seems I've a free day.. blastoff! I almost just want to die rather than wait for the impending journey.

Schedule:

0-30mins: throw up on the grass, preferably not around the towel area.

30-50mins: Hydrate. Lay down on towels, put on shades and earplugs. Lift off into the exosphere.

50-55mins: Rush thousands of AU from the solar system, gaining speed exponentially.

55mins-60mins: Blast halfway through the universe into a wormhole.

60-180mins: goddamnit, there's no point trying to describe it. FUCK MEEEEE.

This is good; I need to keep this feeling of imminent death with me, and perhaps I'll be ready when the time comes to let go.

A park would be a fun place if it was unpopulated and I had a sitter to deal with the inevitable passerby. I tend to get weird with it, so i know i would draw attention singing and puking and playing with energy.... then again most people leave the random homeless schizophrenic alone, so it may not be an issue. Aya's something to be respected not feared, if it feels right go for it my brother.

Thx Mouse for the reassurement, I needed it. I've decided to tell my parents I'll be doing it in my room, and let them know of the nature of what will be happening. I plan to say that I have decided to do this thing, and that I need their unquestioning support in this, a great trial I want to put myself through. Indeed I must push my mind past parent anxiety for this, my passage into the inconceivable.

I had an interesting instance of dream-paralysis yesterday: As I lay with eyes closed 15+ minutes, I heard a loud crack in my brain and was instantly in some mirror world, still laying there with eyes closed, my feet hanging off the bed. The external sounds (people talking faintly, television on in living room) now seemed to be entering very low-fi, like a bad cassette player. I felt my legs rising and doing slow, wide kicking motions three or four feet above my body. The weirdest thing was an ongoing rambling of my voice saying anything I was half-thinking. I tried to turn my voice into classical music, but instead of hearing violins playing it was my voice trying to sing the tune -- and doing a horrible job, mind you. All off-key and badly chosen onomatopoeia, like ba pa pa da da pa paa.

When I felt I was starting to go under, I fought very hard and woke up my paralyzed body. I wonder if I actually slept for an hour +, or if the whole thing is only 30 or so minutes, like it seems to be. I've done this 20+ times, it's fun but I was scared shitless one of those times.

DUDE!!!! You are mistaken if it's your first time and you think you can accurately plan how it will go, or how your body will respond. This is something you've never experienced before. Don't you have any friends house you can use?

A public park? How public? And during the day? No, you don't want people around at all. If you're drinking mimosa tea, there's probably a 50/50 chance you'll throw up. Not only throw up, but when the dmt hits, it will make you feel so tired, nauseated, and vertigo ridden that you will feel you want to do nothing but lie down and stay absolutely still. If someone tries to talk to you, that will be the last thing on earth you'll want to do, and you usual train of thought will be gone. You won't know what to say, and you'll probably be panicking on the inside.

There is a period of ayahuasca journeys where the user feels like they have to be absolutely still, and doesn't want any interaction with anything. It lasts a half hour to an hour. After that, you get more control and feel like it's possible to move comfortably again, but for that 45 minutes or so, you will not feel good if it's your first time and you're in a public place alone. You need to go where you won't have any interaction with people, and a place where no one will see you or come up to you if you throw up. A public park is probably not a good idea, unless it's really out of the way and you're sure it has few passers by.
