Yesus Kristos/Gautama Buddha

Migrated topic.

Neither.

One does not have to look outside oneself for redemption or a savior.

Redemption comes from within, you are your own savior.

This is probably why they´re called ,saviours´. Jesus Saviour.

Oh dear, oh dear.

The most pathetic poll ever... Now let's everyone start making polls like:

"pizza OR kebab"

"whiskey OR vodka"

"underwear OR not"

"30mg OR 60mg"

"inner OR outer bark"

etc

Ouch! That hurts!
After eating my pizza and drinking my vodka, I would in my underwear smoke 30 mg of inner bark.
Ha ha!
And who would You choose for Your saviour, dearest Infundibulum?

Whatever!
How does one do a poll? I would like to do 'Daddy or chips?'

Not really. I have a good one in mind, more of my psychological statistic gathering concerning the DMT experience...

As for your poll, it's a tough one.

JESUS: the 'real' Jesus was cool because he was an anarcho-communist, and he was so unprejudiced that he chose a prostitute for a girlfriend.
But I don't approve of his prude, hypocritical 'followers'... they're just Satanists who don't realise who their real master is.

BHUDDA: I like fat bhudda when he enjoys earthly pleasures. But not Puritan-esque aesthetic skinny bhudda.
I don't agree with men abandoning their family and children in the pursuit of selfish 'enlightenment'. I know a girl whose mother left her with a reluctant aunt when she was a little child to join the bhuddists- what a bitch. And I don't like the defeatist attitude that keeps the exploiting elite in power.

DECISION: however, in terms of murder-in-the-name-of, the Christians are far far worse than the Bhuddists. So both historically and now, Bhudda's followers are better behaved. Bhudda is therefore preferable.

Organized religion and polls... two things I really don't like.

Yeah, christianity probably has the bloodiest history: the Inquisition, witch burning, wars and ruthless political games, eradication of native Americans and other people, missionaries, etc etc... and it still exists.
Buddhism may sound much better at first sight but it's almost as dogmatic as the rest, imho. I know some very dogmatic and fanatical buddists.

I avoid any fixed dogmatic set of rules as the plague. How can anyone continue to develop if all they do is check in the Book if something is ok... That's why psychedelics are important: instead of a second hand story they offer firsthand access!

No priests, gurus or messiahs for me... especially if they claim I need them.

Neither Jesus or Buddha. The avatar I hope meets me in the Light will be distinctly feminine. Some of the posts at this forum speak of a Goddess like being - this is the one I want.

Oh! Thank goodness Yesus died even for atheists.

:)

Jesus died. He didn't die for anyone, he just died. Just as you will die, just as I will die. There is no importance to his death, the importance is in his uncorrupted teachings.

You haven´t studied theology, have You? When God dies on cross, it isn´t usual death.
You have opened interesting theological problem.

No, I haven't studied Theology.

You are assuming a unique divinity for Jesus. He was no more the son of god than I am, or you are. Did he better understand the nature of existence? I would say that he most certainly did, but that does not make him "uniquely" divine. His divinity was a major point of contention at the Council of Nycea, and if I remember correctly the vote taken was quite close, 300+ years after he died.

He was a man, a very special man, but not a god, and certainly not the "only" son of god. Each and every one of us is a son/daughter of god, we are all divine.

I´m not sure whether or not this is irony, but you start a poll in the starting ,New topic´ options.

Christology deals with Christ.

We all want the great vagina goddess, for sure.

Yesus work for people in the West, Buddha on the East.
