Disclaimer (This is a hypothetical situation for the sake of chemistry, I put it in 1st person to make it easier to read)

My first Extraction used

Materials:
powdered MHRB (100g)
Pure lye
VM & P Naphtha
1 gallon distilled water jug HDPE2
Distilled Water
Glass pyrex jar for naphtha/dmt
Syringe
Freezer
Scale
plastic funnel
Big Glass Measuring cup

What I did:

1A. Measured 1500ml of water into HDPE2 water jug
2A. Added very large amount of lye, ~250-300g~
3A. Shook it, Let pressure escape
4A. Added 100g of MHRB using funnel
5A. Shook again, let pressure escape
5A. Rolled it/shook it multiple times over 5 hours
6A. Next day I added 150-200ml of naphtha using funnel
7A. Shook it/rolled it multiple times over 5 hours
8A. Next day I poured 80% of solution into glass measuring cup
9A. Waited 5 minutes, used syringe to extract naphtha into Pyrex bowl
10A. Let it air evaporate for 3 hours
11A. Put it in freezer overnight
12A. Still naphtha left so i poured it down sink, quickly rinsed sink
13A. Left it over night
14A. Next day there was white clumps of dmt, and a spot of brown

15A. It was difficult to remove dmt from glass
16A. So difficult that I just kept it in the Pyrex bowl

More pulls:
The rest of the pulls were literally impossible to scrape into another container
1B. washed everything except gallon jug
2B. Added warm naphtha 75ml
3B. shake and wait
4B. Pored 80% into measuring cup, used syringe to put naphtha in Pyrex bowl
5B. Froze like normal
6B. Same issues, poured off naphtha (less this time)
7B. Still too sticky to take out of bowl
8B. 2nd time orange-ish/brownish goo
9B. Need to blow fan over it every time i take it out (only 2nd pull)
10B: The 3rd pull was yellowish brown
11B. The 4th and final pull was clear but virtually nothing

Problems:
1C. 3 spills, easily cleaned up
2C. Unable to put dmt into a storage container, must go directly from Pyrex cup to pipe
3C. Low yield (can't measure since its difficult to scrape off bowl) I'd guess .25 from first two pulls, last 2 another .2
In total .45 (450 mg from 100g)

Questions:
Why does the DMT stick to the bowl so badly? It's IMPOSSIBLE to remove more than a a couple hits at once
Why are the yields so low? 0.45%

Thanks for the all the help and advice everyone gave me up to this point. I really appreciate how mature and respectful the nexus is.

In 12A, are you saying your poured the naphtha down the sink?

If so, that's where the spice went.

150-200ml of naphtha is 3-4 times as much as you would want to use for a single pull on 100g of bark. If you reread the tek you used, Gir suggested 75mls per pull. I still think that's high, but not as dramatic as 150-200mls at once. Three hours of evaporation definitely was not enough to reduce the naphtha for an effective freeze precipitation.

Yeah, I figured the majority of the dmt would have been taken out during the freeze. I guess I was wrong. Got it, use less naphtha.
The second issue is still a problem though, The rest of the pulls (2,3,4) I only used 75ml like the guide said.
It was extremely difficult to decant the naphtha with a syringe, I probably wasted some and got a little solution in.
Is there an easier way to decant? perhaps using a different container instead of the measuring cup (its wide so thin layer of naphtha)
It was also impossible to scrape the dmt off the bowl. Why is that?
Thanks for quick response btw

This makes me wonder. Did you cover the bowl before putting it in the freezer? If not you could be getting condensation from the freezer. Also you don't want any solvent evaporating in your freezer!

No I didn't put a cover on it, how does the condensation affect the final spice? There wasn't any food in the freezer during the process.
