There should be a couple of other coral-oriented threads to find around here. Some of these coral swecies can be cultivated, if you were to get into marine aquaria. That's preferable to disrupting already stress marine habitats.
Coral are animals, so there's arguably a similar ethical issue to that of keeping Sonoran desert toads.
