A few more changa questions

Hi again everyone!

SWIMs questions today pertain to the blend "Electric Sheep". He has a blend already that consists of the following:

125mg 10/1 caapi extract
250mg caapi leaf
250mg blue lotus
450mg spice

He knows that this is not "Electric Sheep" because it does not have calea. He was wondering if he could get the same "Electric Sheep" effect if he rolled a joint or packed a bowl with this particular changa blend mixed with non-spiced-calea.

In the original "Electric Sheep" blend, SWIM noticed that there is no MAOI in the mixture and was wondering why not.. seeing as how changa is supposed to have MAO inhibition in some way.. isn't it NOT changa if it doesn't have an MAOI?

If SWIM made a new changa blend with the original electric sheep recipe mixed with some extra MAOI such as caapi 10/1 extract, or passionflower extract, would this ruin the electric sheep "effect"?

I ask these questions because SWIM heard that lotus/caapi is not a good combo. SWIM would like to hear a few more opinions before he makes any decisions.

I believe it would spoil the effect.

Electric Sheep, which has to be one of my all time faves, is Enhanced Leaf, not Changa. It has a very particular and special effect that is Love and Cosmo rockets based as opposed to lesson based. When I want a journey that is not lesson oriented but rather love and fire-rockets, I go for Electric Sheep.

Despite being Enhanced Leaf it somehow manages to last long, as long as Changa. It somehow manages to lengthen and potentiate the journey.

I don't think Caapi and Lotus go well, but I know people who do. My philosophy on Enhanced Leaf or Changa is that less is more. Keep your blends simple and remember that you can always mix your blends to see if they go together.

If SWIM put calea/lotus in a bowl and put spice on top, would that give the electric sheep effect?.. or does this only happen in enhanced leaf?

How about passionflower?

I think you should be able to mix spice in with a calea/lotus mix in a bowl. Try it and report back ;-) I never did that, so I don't know.

Well.. SWIM just mixed 50/50 calea/lotus and sprinkled a small unmeasured amount of spice on top and vaporized it in his VG. He really did enjoy the taste a lot, the calea definitely helps with that. The experience for SWIM is hard to say whether or not it was a lot different subjectively than straight spice. I would almost say that the taste made for a better experience.. but it is really hard to say at this point if it was much different.. According to SWIM it did feel somewhat smoother though.....

Then it was not Electric Sheep. Just make some at 1:1.

From what you are telling me, MAOIs don't mix with Electric Sheep.. From the reviews I have read of this blend it doesn't seem necessary.. Does the MAOI just make it TOO strong?.. Even if it is a passionflower extract?

It is not for me to determine whether or not a MOAI addition to Electric Sheep does not mix. You might want to try Passion Flower, you may want to tell us about any blends you think are cool.

What I am saying is that Electric Sheep is very special and for me does not blend well, specifically with Caapi. Their personalities are too strong. Electric Sheep is strong, and fast, but it's fun and loving. It is already somehow lengthened and strengthened.

You do as you please and you find out what works for you.
