The conservative media here spreads a lot of nonsense about drugs and how some cities decriminalized all drugs and how terrible it is. They focus on mushrooms and then show clips of crazy people in tranq or mention recent stabbings, violence etc… I grew up in one of those cities and live 45 mins outside of another one with the same rules. I can assure you both of them were terrible when I was a child when they were still chasing people down for weed. Still people buy into this shared delusion that the city went to hell just 5 years ago.

The rhetoric here is getting worse now obviously fueled by the garbage the guy south of us is spreading about fentanyl etc.

I can totally imagine this inspiring people to trash dispensaries.

On the other hand there’s also a lot of rival gang activity at least on the west coast. Crazy times

It’s hard to say what’s going on there. I think either of those scenarios would make sense.

Also, I guess it’s no surprise that organized criminal gangs would cash in on the psychedelic grey market.

So many good points. I also dont think there would be a huge increase in psychedelic drug use of they were legal. I would hope people would develop appropriate and meaningful relationships with them. Not just see them as party drugs. Although they can be for fun / party as well nothing wrong with that. I dont like the idea of substances being pushed onto people via marketing but I also dont like the way pharmacueticals are marketed in some countries either.
