Homo-divinorum
From what I've gathered, the reason why Salvia Divinorum tea does not work very well is a combination of two things:
1. Salvinorin A is not very water soluble.
2. Salvinorin A is mostly destroyed by stomach acid before it reaches the blood stream, so large amounts are needed.
In historical contexts, Ayahuasca has been administered anally. So would a salvia tea enema get enough salvinorin into the bloodstream to have a significant experience lasting much longer than when smoked?
P.S. It's not that I am currently planning on trying it, just a thought I wanted some input on.
