Acacia photo gallery

Migrated topic.
Is there any particular reason I cannot see 70% of the pictures on nexus?
Thanks for pointing this out!

Depending on how the photos were attached, they may not display at all if they're embedded in the post. Also, some third-party hosting has been lost over the years. I'll take a look through the thread and see what can be retrieved (but if someone was able to automate this, that would be even better). It's only partly to do with the forum migration. The ones in (or rather, not in) the post which you've quoted are a third-party hosting issue.

Would love to get the A. oxycedrus x floribunda pic back ;)

So far I've only found a post which references floribunda and oxycedrus separately, and the photos appear to be intact:
Was it maybe this post?
URLs from that post: [http]://imageshack.us/a/img89/3687/img1429cw.jpg [http]://imageshack.us/a/img826/9193/img1402e.jpg

Have you tried accessing your old posts with the edit function and retrieving at least the URLs for your old third-party hosted pictures for yourself? There's a limit to the amount of searching that I can do, but I'll do as much as I can with my access privileges on this site if you can't access the posts. Then I'd happily retrieve the URLs and pass them onto you.

I feel that digging up lost pics from third party hosts is somewhat beyond my remit at this point. It looks as though ImageShack, for instance, requires creation of an account to log in with these days. At least, I assume that's how one gains access to any kind of search function. There is also an API but using this would be beyond my current skill level.

This does not appear to be the kind of thing that Archive.org will have stored either.

An interesting Acacia. Maidenii specimen
