Acetone washes on fumarate

So I've used the search function and couldn't find exact clarification, and I don't wanna revive any dead threads. My understanding is this:

Basically, after you dry your fumarate, you wash it with more acetone. This is because the DMT fumarate is NOT soluble in the acetone, but any of the excess fumaric acid IS soluble.

So you could decant your Acetone wash back into your FASA because its only picked up the FA floating in there, right? And its not going to have any spice floating around in it?

I also just started working with Xylene; mother fucker, its good, but super odoriferous. Can anyone tell me the best conditions to help accelerate the precipitations?

acetone washes work, just make sure your acetone is dry. DMT fumarate is more soluble in wet acetone. Unforunately fumaric acid isn't super soluble in acetone either so if you have a lot of excess its not the best. If you added the right amount of FASA this shouldnt be an issue though. It is excellent to remove xylene traces and help it dry fully faster.

If you want really pure fumarates free of fumaric acid and yellow colour, recrystallize in 99% IPA or dry ethanol

Would be smart to collect your acetone washes and evap since it will contain a bit of spice (but only a few milligrams).

xylene is great solvent, best conditions to ensure full crystallization is cool temp (and dryness) stick it in the fridge, but the fridge will stink now, dont put it in with your food.

as mindillusion says, not very soluble in acetone. If you heat acetone up and dissolve the fumartes then it pulls a lot of the oils out which is great. Also, fumaric acid is good for you in reccomended amounts which if you took dmt-fumarate laced with fumaric acid it would be far under the recommended daily intake. It fights of free-radicals from what i remember.
