I have this air tight capsule that i use to store my spice...
when i move the solvent to the freezer can i put it in this container?
Is it a good idea? or will it create a soda can in the freezer disaster?

Soda in the freezer disaster happens because water expands when it freezes. And the soda can really doesn't have much empty space to allow for any of the liquids to expand. So the metal gets stretched, and well like any of us when we get pushed too far

You're solvent likely wont freeze (at least at freezer temperatures), and even if there is a little bit of water in your solvent, there is likely plenty of room for expansion even if the container is air tight.

If you think about it, the original container for the solvent is air tight. And when the solvent is cooled down to freezer temps evap speed decreases. You do not want to heat solvent in a sealed container. But in a freezer it should be no problem.

What kind of container are we talking exactly?
