I was researching people seeing cat people on DMT, since that is the only entity SWIM has seen on it, though it was SWIM that was the cat person on the trip. I stumbled on a youtube video of a Jaguar that was eating some leaves that the video said was something that contained DMT. Are there any other animals that use DMT also that you guys have heard of?

Isnt that clip of a jaguar eating/rubbing itself with some Caapi?

Ive heard of no animals eating DMT containing plants.

DMT is in a lot of plants, graminoids for example, and lots of animals eat them. No idea how are they affected anyway, if they are affected by DMT.
Maybe that's why cows always have that weird look hahaha

Yup...the jaguar is definitely involved with Caapi. There are tons of anecdotal reports on the relationship between jaguars and Caapi.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are "cat people"? Or is that merely a term used to refer to the cat family including jaguars, lions, tigers, etc....?

Also consider that the roots of the Iboga were discovered to have Magic/mystical/psychedelic properties by the Fang and related tribes in Gabon , Africa while watching the wild boars dig up the roots , ingest them and then go into wild fits of odd behavior.

..perhaps the B.Caapai vines magic was discovered by the natives while watching Jaguars ingest them and go into trance.

That clip looks to me very much like a fake or set-up, but it is true, many tribes have histories that they have learned the properties of caapi by watching jaguars.

Ronald Siegel, a psychopharmacologist at UCLA, has done a lot of research on animals using drugs of all kinds. In one study he trained rhesus monkeys to smoke lettuce cigarettes and then put them in sensory deprivation for 10 days with access to DMT laced lettuce cigarettes. After a few days in sensory deprivation, two of the three monkeys started to voluntarily and repeatedly 'dose' themselves with DMT on a daily basis.

He has also collected many anecdotes of animals using hallucinogens -- reindeer eating aminita muscaria, goats eating peyote, boars eating the roots of the iboga shrub, and, of course, jaguars eating yaje (e.g., caapi).
