Anyone experienced with Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea)?

I got a bunch from Egypt before. Honestly, I'm very experienced with this substance. The actual material is aqueous, but can be crystallized.

This substance is extremely sedative, so you'll become drowsy. If you take any notice to this, the hallucinations begin to sweep quickly. The field of vision becomes overwhelmed with streaking bars of coloured lights and patterns begin to manifest inside of these lines of vision. What you are looking at in the room or view does not shift, although the patterning of your mind will begin to show deeply. The psychological aspect of this drug is vivid and dream-like. If you lay to rest on it, you will not fall asleep and will gain no restfulness at all. If you take it while tired, you will stay awake. Blue Lotus is a powerful thing, but don't be scared of it. You will still know that you are yourself and be able to tell what was imaginary, so to speak, within your mind.

Be careful while taking this! Don't drive, operate heavy machines, or leave your home.

(I also had some in HCL form crystal that was taken in pills of P. Cubensis [30mg] at a high dose level in the mixture, these were extreme. The experience was lucid, I felt as if I were to take to many that I would not be able to tell if I were asleep or not...but knew that I was awake.)
 
Currently I can't precip that, not with what work I've done. I would adjust the mathematics on Dr.Albert_Hofmann's Psilocybe re-compounding from Sandoz Pharma, that tek works the best for hcl conversion. Reference PiHKAL or TiHKAL for the work after precipitate extraction. That stuff will crystallize, but you need to make sure that it's linear to the rest of the industry standard. Even freebasing the compound is going to end up being too unstable for nitro storage, although you'd have to do so before HCL.
Interesting. What is the process by which you can crystalize the active componants of blue lotus.

How is any of that (Hoffman, psilocybe, PiHKAL or TiHKAL) related to blue lotus?
 
Blue lotus alkaloids principally fall into the benzylisoquinoline class. Rather than looking at unrelated works like PIHKaL or TIHKaL, it would make more sense, if one was determined to refer to one of the Shulgin's books, to make use of the extensive scientific references in Shulgin & Perry's "Some Simple Plant Isoquinolines", published by Transform (;)) Press in 2002. The isolation of these substances in crystalline form will be detailed in one of the relevant examples of literature from that work - except! there's only a very minimal reference to Nymphaea species, with a single entry for coclaurine occurrence in Nympaea stellata.

The Pink Lotus, Nelumbo nucifera, has a considerably more extensive list of information, some of which may prove of relevance to investigations regarding Nymphaea species, particularly regarding nuciferine which co-occurs in Nymphaea nouchali var. caerulea. So, try looking at Phytochemistry, 12 (1973), 699 ff. and J. Pharm. Sci. 66 (1977), 1627 ff.

On top of that, the nymphaeaceae (love that spelling!) also has a representative in the form of Nuphar lutea which contains the sesquiterpene alkaloids, nupharine, nupharidine and deoxynupharidine. I must confess, I've no clear idea of the pharmacology of those particular compounds, nor whether they possibly show up in Nymphaea species.

Furthermore, it's highly likely that (in my opinion, based on general phytochemical experience, and not any literature or practical research) flavonoid-type compunds could also be involved in the pharmacology of N. nouchali var. caerulea, but these would generally be elimimated during an A/B extraction incorporating a defat step.
