What goals, then? Isn't astral projection essentially lucid dreaming mixed with meditation? It's not like you're actually traveling somewhere.... but rather, focusing the mind.Mystic0 said:I've tried bothbut I'm looking for a way to do it without, this is starting to become my current goal, I've begun learning to meditate and lucid dream, I would like to be able to achieve these goals without the benefit of anything else.
Could you expand on this? Of course they are not equivalent but the language to describe these things lacks so I defaulted to what was mentioned. I'd be interested to hear a compare and contrast, UC.universecannon said:its not like lucid dreaming at all ime..
this is just how I feel and what I'd like to achieve.Acaterpillar said:I never used guides, but first you need to practice intentionally falling into sleep paralysis.
You will know you are in sleep paralysis because you will have the sensation of a heavy blanket being laid upon your body (kind of like the ones they use at Dentist offices for taking X-rays) and it will be difficult to move.
From here, you can work on techniques on how your mind prefers to leave your body.
To get into sleep paralysis, simply lay on your back with a calm mind.
Remain aware of your intentions, but stay relaxed.
If you are having trouble falling into this paralysis without going straight into sleep try taking a very small amount of caffeine before hand.
It can also help to try this in the morning, immediately after waking up.
very useful piece of information, going to begin researching this now. I think this is what someone else mentioned and a lot of other thing's I've read have spoken about in similar ways. Forgive me for being argumentative, but all experience is dependent on drugs. You cannot live without the influence of them.Mystic0 said:I'm beginning to believe that any of these states are possible without the influence of drugs.

and also a valid argument too! an interesting one tonight.

Do a quick 5 minute meditation to slow your brain down and relax yourself.
Lay down as comfy as possible and do not move once comfy. Remind your self that you ARE going to astral travel.
Concentrate on deep and slow breaths and then gradually make it natural.
Think of nothing, you need a very quiet mind so you can drift off into a trance state. I advise having a relaxed and quiet day prior to trying (thats why mornings are best) So with your silent and pure mind, look deep into the darkness of your eyes. You will feel your self drifting off into that darkness.. This is where some people fail because as this happens a thought pops up into the mind making them break their trance state. Usually people give up after 5 minutes, but do not give up.. Do it for atleast 20 minutes (if done properly)and you will see. It will become easier and natural each time.
You must let go of all connections and freely let your mind drift off towards the darkness while maintaining natural slow deep breathing.
You will begin to feel a sensation, sometimes slowly and in pulses or sometimes very rapid and intense. You will also hear a ringing noise gradually become louder and louder. Remeber to stay calm and let the paralysis do its thing. Once it is at its peak (youll know) stay calm and wait about 30seconds to a minute. At this stage you may hear voices and noises, aswell as the high pitched ringing. There are many techniques to seperate, so pick one that suits you. Or you may even be able to fluke it. Once you get the hang of this weird sensation it becomes quite natural to you.
When your break through the barrier you will hear a loud "POP" and you are free to explore.o
Astral projection is alot more easier to navigate than hyperspace. It is so incredibly different than hyperspace but very similar aswell. I much prefer traveling without the use of DMT. Sleep paralysis can also be triggered during lucid dreaming by stimulating it. This is another option for you to achieve your goals. Just dont give up like most do.
Make sure you do have the right mindset before travelling too far. You must have no fear and know how defeat it and be on top. Have a pure mind, no reaction and ofcourse be filled with love. I friend of mine spent 14 days in a coma due to astral projection.
She is very experienced but went too far for her abilities.
Tred with care my friend and dont go through too many tubes![]()
